  1. Flakes in the oil filter

Well there’re no ā€œchunksā€. Also probably worth mentioning is that my oil consumption is next to nothing, (half a quart in 2000+kms) and there are no bad sounds coming from the engine. My ā€˜19 bullitt made more valvetrain noise right out of the box.
  2. Flakes in the oil filter

sounds like a good idea. I’ll pick one of those up next oil change.
  3. Flakes in the oil filter

that’s what I was hoping to hearšŸ‘. So what are we looking at?.. piston, rings? I can’t imagine it would be bearing material…
  4. Flakes in the oil filter

I can’t see it being left over from manufacturing since it’s been changed before, although I don’t know when.
  5. Flakes in the oil filter

It’s a cartridge. 15-16 had the spin on can filter.
  6. Flakes in the oil filter

Thanks for the reply’s. This is the first time I’ve ever looked inside a filter so I didn’t know what to expect. Like I said I’m guessing this is the second-third oil change. I know it was done at least once because the filter had been off before I got to it. At the risk of sounding like a...
  7. Flakes in the oil filter

Hello all. Getting my gt350 ready for the spring and decided to cut the oil filter open. Found some flakes, mostly very fine but there’s a few bigger ones I did a search and it seems like this is considered normal for a first oil change… my car has just under 10000kms /6000 miles and this is...
  8. Oil pan bolts backing out...?

Engine builder made a mistake... either didn't tighten them or forgot them altogether. Instead of owning it he blames the voodoo vibes and pro charger. Lame.
  9. Anyone have experience with these lifts?

Ive got the Quickjack 7000. Bought it mainly for oil change, tire change, etc. since I hate the process of jacking and setting jack stands on my gt350. Ive got a project fox body that I'll use if for as well. They're plenty solid and I have no problem being under the car while its up on them. I...

  11. Prices are on the rise......

Ok one more try since you clearly can't comprehend what Im saying.... My car lives in a climate controlled garage, its only driven on nice days, has never seen a gravel road, oil is always fresh, I don't take it over 3k until the oil is up to operating temp, its never seen a track and I keep it...
  12. Prices are on the rise......

Right... No way somebody could own a Shelby with a blower and look after it. SMH
  13. Prices are on the rise......

afraid to buy... not afraid to drive
  14. Prices are on the rise......

That depends.. Would you want to buy a completely stock gt350 that was tracked every weekend, and on its second set of brakes and tires, that you know spent half of its miles between 6-8000 rpms? over one that has a S/C but was babied on the street? Not everyone is afraid of FI, there're more...
  15. Prices are on the rise......

My argument is simple; there’re limited buyers for shelbys of any description. The same can be said of any sports car. There may be less buyers for modified versions but they exist. If I were to list mine right now, in my market, it would currently be the only one with FI… so if the right guy...
  16. Prices are on the rise......

You could also argue that all GT350s only appeal to a small number of people.... No matter what you have to find the right buyer for the car. When I saw the Whipple under the hood my interest level went up, not down. We're all different. The fact is that a bad voodoo will fail with or without...
  17. Prices are on the rise......

Not if they drove it LOL  That said I was sure to get all the stock bits for mine so that if the day came to sell it I could return to stock.
  18. Anybody do their own alignments?

Get your head out of your ass and read what I said. YOU with You're knowledge, tools and experience im sure are capable of doing the job correctly. Someone without proper tools and experience is best to leave it to someone qualified. Why is that so hard to understand SHM
  19. Anybody do their own alignments?

Im quite aware of the fact many if not most shops should not be trusted to work on these or any other performance cars. I don't take my Shelby to express lube for oil changes... "Professional" is a term with a lot of shades of grey.. maybe I should have used specialist. Do your homework and find...
