I wanted to share my experience with a cluster swap on my 2017 Mustang EcoBoost Base Automatic.
I bought a new (0 km / mile) 2018–2021 cluster (KR3T-10849-FD) for $120 and completed the swap in about 45 minutes.
Before starting, I backed up my original IPC and recorded a video of the IPC...
I am also facing the fuel capacity issue after swap
Swapped from 2017 gauge to 2021 new analog gauge
I changed the fuel capacity in forscan, and still having the wrong fuel capacity in the gauge.
How to fix?
I don't know if you can change only one seat, because they are both connected to each other.
Example: If only the driver’s seat is installed and the passenger seat is removed, with Easy Entry enabled, opening the door will move the driver’s seat back. However, when you get back into the car...
You will need to add the missing wires of the main connector plug
I think you need to add 5 more wires to the harness you bought.
What i did, i bought another harness, and took from it the 5 wires
Now it works perfectly
But, the temporary solution was everything working correctly, even the AC...
Can you please check your passenger seat harness, please take a photo and send. I think yours is similar to 2015-2017 seats. I think 2019+ are different. Just to confirm please take a picture and send.
There are wiring books of each mustang year. Please take a look. Take the wiring manual based...
Are you still facing issue? If so can you please take photos of the driver big harness and ground driver harness. Also, do same for passenger side.
As for fuse, I dont know which fuse you should tap to take power to the seats. I dont know which seats it should go to. But the only thing I know...
Please read and look at the images in step number 3, I wrote in detail on how to bypass the memory
SEATS model 2015-2017 need to be bypassed
While SEATS 2018+ NO NEED FOR BYPASS
Anytime mate, please read part 3 for bypassing if the SEATS MODEL are (2015-2017) otherwise skip part 3 and go to part 4 (for giving the signal to the seats).
The reason why I said connect to the floor connector is because you can easily remove the seats and reconnect them without touching the wire (connect and disconnect).
The other cables need to merge is based on your CAR MODEL as I mentioned above, please look at step 2, either part i or part ii...
1) The size wasn't mentioned on the sleeve, but it was good, expandable.
2) Actually you are right 3 meters is long, better to go higher than lower, maybe you will need to cut it later.
3) You will need to tap a fuse, and get the wire directly to the seats power, for me its difficult, but maybe...
Then, I guess its possible, just reverse the process, I think you need to get these 2015-2017:
1- Rear Bumper Cover, choose one: non-premium (no diffuser is needed) or premium (needs diffuser)
2- Rear Valance (Diffuser): if you are getting the premium diffuser
3- Reflectors
4- Reverse Light
I corrected the post
Mustang GT 2015-2017: Oil pressure and vacuum/boost.
Mustang GT 2018-2023: Oil pressure and vacuum only.
I think it will work properly, but I guess it will always stay in the vacuum side, since there is no turbo boost.
Kindly check some videos of 2015-2017 Mustang GT PP POV...
