  1. VTT Product Release - EBM Stage 2 Turbocharger upgrade Intro pricing

I understand about development costs driving end product price up, as I work for a large medical device manufacturer. I'm still trying to grasp how much more expensive parts are now vs my last factory turbo car. I can go buy a 700+ hp capable turbo for a Buick GN for less than half of the stage...
  2. Another blown ecoboost Engine

Air going into the intake isn't metered anyway....no MAF sensor. :D
  3. VTT Product Release - EBM Stage 2 Turbocharger upgrade Intro pricing

I hate being a downer, but so much for coming in under $2k retail, as was said several times prior to the pre-order. Still a decent price point, but a bit more than I, and quite sure others, were hoping for.
  4. Operating temperature

I've seen it creep to 200 on hot days, but only if sitting in traffic. With the temps in the low 80's, it hovers between 185-190.
  5. VTT Stage 2 is HERE!!!

Might as well break the news to the g/f that I'm about to drop the $$ on a new turbo..lol. She will be a bit peeved, but she'll get over it. Hello 11 sec pump gas daily driver.
  6. NMRA @ Bradenton - March 3-6

Yeah, I had to go up the road a bit to Ruskin/Sun City Center to find something that wasn't a blatant price gouge..lol. Combine the event with MLB spring training kicking off, and hotels get zapped quick. Steve, Kelly....look forward to meeting you guys and checking out the cars.
  7. VTT Stage 2 is HERE!!!

Subscribed. I've been holding off on the S1, and ever so glad I did. This is a no-brainier purchase IMO. Time to set $$ aside just for the time this becomes available so I can really hurt some feelings around here..lol.
  8. NMRA @ Bradenton - March 3-6

If the info I got was correct, we will be running T&T plus round 1 of qualifying on Friday, q2, q3 Saturday, and eliminations on Sunday. I'm actually thinking about not going until early morning Thursday to get checked in, find the other EBM peeps, set up, then go check in at the hotel. Haven't...
  9. Low idol and alot of white smoke

White smoke sounds like a head gasket to me as well. The thing about putting race gas in the car is you have to let it run for a few miles to get the good fuel into the system. I would have made the first pass on the 93/street tune to get the good gas to the injectors, then loaded the race tune...
  10. NMRA @ Bradenton - March 3-6

I'm planning on running True Street and Ecoboost Challenge classes. I'll be in town early Thursday if all goes according to plan.
  11. Big and little drag rims package for 1/4 mile

I found the last pair that were available in Jacksonville...lol. I like how they fill the fender gap on a stock height car, and they have to be an improvement over the NT05's I was running. 25.5" vs 27"....yeah, wonder which one will work better..lol.
  12. Big and little drag rims package for 1/4 mile

Better pic of the Race Stars with the 295/45 ET Street radials mounted. 7" fronts with 215/65's...MT are on 9.5" rears.
  13. The big Intercooler thread.

Yeah, yeah....I remember when you convinced me to go with Nic's IC, and glad you did. Now I need to upgrade to the G2 street core and see what it can handle.
  14. Ok FLorida Pep's, Who's From Where ??

There are a few of us around. Good sized group in the Orlando area, plus we have a decent sized group up here in Jax as well.
  15. The big Intercooler thread.

I've been pushing my 1st generation Levels pretty hard lately, and it's holding its own pretty well. I have one of the 1st units Nic built for the EBM, and highest charge temp I've seen recently is 117*.....after 4 back to back passes, with only the drive up the return road to cool it down...
  16. Central Florida BS Thread

Well, Adam isn't going to make it to OSW....he still needs more dyno time to tune the car, so he's going straight to Tampa Sunday/Monday, whenever he gets into the area. I was hoping for a last minute tune-up for Bradenton, now I've got to think on it a bit. One less day of truck rental, one...
  17. Central Florida BS Thread

    That's good news....see you there.
  18. Central Florida BS Thread

Yep, that would be the one. Hoping to crack the 11's that night, and be ready to rock n roll at Bradenton.
  19. Central Florida BS Thread

lol...I think you might have the Wednesday's mixed up. The herd will be there next Wednesday, March 2nd, in prep for Bradenton. I'm working tomorrow night, so no funs for me. Long range forecast looks good for next week though.
  20. Central Florida BS Thread

Thank ya sir....I'll have my cordless impact gun with me, so it shouldn't take long to swap the fronts over. Unless someone pops up local to me with a trailer I can borrow, will just drive down on the new DRs. I need to heat cycle them a few times before track use, so a few highway miles will be...
