I’ll be a little more specific. The shifter in the Camaro is more than fine but the shape and feel of the shift knob sucks royally. Easily one of the worse features of the Camaro but luckily the below fix was only $75.
I can see where you’re coming from with most of your points but this...
I can’t believe Ford is still using that y2k compliant head unit in the non-premium GT. But it looks like it’s been updated to a blue background instead of a black like in my 2016. Progress.
Won’t need this anymore with that world class interior.:handshake:
I can’t agree with that statement. I owned a 2016 GT for 5 years. Stock vs stock, the Camaro is faster throughout the powerband, it’s not even close. The 2018 GT manifold and E85 closed the gap tremendously for me.
Sounds like the LT1 you looked at had a lot of meaningless options. The base LT interior which is standard in the LT1 is rental car grade. Adding the two previously mentioned options, the technology package and Recaros seat package changes the entire look of the interior. With the Recaro seat...
Looks like you know your Camaro packages fairly well. Those are the two interior upgrades on my LT1. Technology Package (Larger LCD) - $900 and Recaro seat package - $1,495.
This is the answer with GAP insurance. You can purchase GAP insurance with the purchase of the car and roll it into your auto loan. Also, my experience has been dealers offer competitive rates for GAP insurance as well. While they cannot start a claim, they can and will be glad to provide you...
I agree with you. The Gen 3 F150 manifold is almost like an improved Gen 2 GT manifold. Also, we don’t know for certain how a 2018+ GT would perform with a Gen 3 F150 manifold. We can only speculate until someone actually does it and provides the data. I would be very interested.
