Been running on my for about 5 months/2.5k miles. No issues, but I am putting away some cash every week in anticipation of the inevitable.
But, I hope to get at least a year out of it. I don't go to the track and don't rag on it hard.
Wouldn't these cars be considered 2 different classes considering the price tag alone? We're anticipating the GT500 at 80k and the ZL1 is what.. 125k base model? I would say if anything if the GT500 is even close to the ZL1 it's a big win and if it beats it.. well
The best/worst thing you can do (depending on your curiosity level) is to find someone with a mustang that has forced induction on it.
Go for a ride with them, or even better, see if they'll let you drive it.
Game over. Happy Modding. Never look back.
I want to say $1500-$2000? Someone on here could probably vouch for a ballpark cost.
The life of the drive shaft is probably in line with everything else. If you start driving like an bunghole and wheel hopping, even at 600 hp things will break.
I think a lot of it depends on the driver, regardless of how much HP you have. I'm over 600 to the wheels and drive very similar to how you described. The car is in perfect shape and runs amazing and from what I gather is in the somewhat "safe" zone for these engines. I upgraded OPG and...
Get your exhaust looked at, specifically the cat's. Make sure theres no restriction going on there. I saw a coyote with a procharger setup come into my buddy's exhaust shop, guy was complaining about no power. Turns out his drivers side cat was plugged solid, killing all of his power. Not...
Hey guys, anyone know of a good app or some type of locator to find E85?
I'm specifically looking for it near the Lake Mary/Sanford/Deltona area.
Just curious, thanks all!
Also, I've tested 93 octane in several areas around the mentioned areas above, not too good of quality I'm finding...
I guess it depends on what you want the car setup for. I have a MT w/ 3.73's and it's a blast on the street, and I feel an absolute monster from a 50 roll, but I know it's not the most optimal for the 1/4 mile track.
I'm not worried about my half shafts, I've heard mixed feelings on it...
Anyone have this kit with a Roush/TVS blower? If so, results/thoughts? Curious on the results as it seems almost everyone posting in this forum has a Whipple.
Thanks!
Thanks, I did the following:
Standard wash/remove all bugs etc.
Clay bar using mothers cali gold kit
Polished using HD Polish Ultra Finish
Wiped down the car with Eraser Intense Oil & Polish Cleaner
Then finally went into the CarPro Cquartz 50ml Kit.
Only thing I wish I had done...
Hey Everyone.
I'm sell this Roush axle back. I bought them for $300.00 locally and never installed them. Ended up deciding to go with a different setup.
They are used from the previous owner, and in excellent shape.
I'm just looking to get my money back from them. $300.00 locally or...
