Exactly.. I’m fairly new to machine polishing, the Mustang’s paint seems pretty good but my wife’s Q7 has plenty of dealer installed swirl marks that need dealing with. What I really need is a few extra hours every day to catch up with my detailing jobs.

The stripe is just a vinyl...If I was you I’d take your situation as an opportunity to get a different stripe added by a professional company.

Went for a nice drive in the countryside this morning and ended stopping at Auto Finesse. Staff there were very welcoming and knowledgeable, I quite fancied packing some of the internet orders coming in but kept that to myself. Needless to say I couldn’t leave without picking a few goodies up...

I’ve haven’t seen a lightning blue in person however VB looks amazing. I’ve never owned a colour that changes so much with the ambient light conditions.

Hi Andy, Are you looking to just add the body stripe, as per your comment on my ‘collection day’ thread ? If so this ought to be something your dealer should be able to help with after the car is delivered.

I picked mine up yesterday and have managed 200ish miles already. My run in procedure is to give the car plenty of time to reach operating temperature with gentle driving. After which I’ve been varying the revs when appropriate but not go beyond 4000rpm. I intend to take it very easy for 1k...

Collected yesterday...

Yesterday I finally said goodbye to my Golf R and collected this amazing machine.... Collection went very smoothly and the car looked stunning. I would write more but I have the day off work today and don't want to waste it at the computer...I'm off out for a drive.

Thanks for the additional photos, I'm still unsure when I will get mine so staring at your pictures definitely helps keep me sane.

I got my VIN from the dealer on the 8/11/18 and the window sticker appeared on 16/12/18, I checked every single day between those dates.
