I’m at a tick over 700whp. You can read my signature for mods. The only piece left from the Roush kit is the SC. I’ll be converting to E85 soon. Don’t really want any more power, just the safety margin it provides. I do run Torco and a 75mm pulley for my 93 VMP tune. Brenspeed ran a similar...
Guilty! I have a 17 X5 Msport, a 19 Civic with “Sport” on the rear (goes 0-60 in about a week), not a big truck but an 18 F150 we like to travel in. For full disclosure I’m likely more aggressive when driving the Mustang but then again power corrupts absolutely. Stay out of the left lane if...
15 Premium GT here, 2.3 Roush with VMP tune (dynos at a tick over 700 whp), lots of suspension upgrades as well (coilover car). Neighbor has a stock 17 GT350. Fun car to drive but we’ve played on the way to a meet a couple of times and I can tell you it’s not close in a straight line.
Started with the RXT, swapped to an RST about a thousand miles ago. Much better pedal action, slightly less noise than the RXT, no difference in the butt dyno. Also have the lightened steel flywheel, nice pieces.
Dynotech aluminum here with FRPP half shafts. They’ve held up fine with “street fun”, no drag launches. Definitely more NVH than stock but on mine with solid bushings, cradle lockout, twin disk, etc. I can’t honestly tell you how much NVH they’re responsible for. I’m only at 700 wheel but if I...
Is it a coincidence that the worlds largest and richest auto manufacturer also makes what in my subjective opinion is the most boring car line available. I’m amazed at the plethora of performance alternatives available to the general public when those cars basically serve the “5% forum fringe”...
Fathouse Fabrications (Johnson tuning) just did a s550 Roush with a 75mm and 93 octane at around 740 whp. There’s some out there. You just have to ditch everything but the SC which apparently is a nice little unit. Definitely approaching the 93 octane limit but if you’re worried about popping it...
Basically the same setup as the white Roush car that Brenspeed consistently ran mid 9’s with. I’m not nearly that hard on mine. Then again, if it pops I’ll get to build a new one.
Seems to work. Same thing Brenspeed was running on their white Roush car. It had an 85 and an 82 with the Roush tunes then Brenspeed put the 75 on with their tune. Kept it for the VMP tune.
VMP 93 octane here. BAP, 95 lb DW injectors, 75mm pulley (actually whines a little). Per VMP there is still quite of overhead left. Currently 707rwhp and drivability is good. Great upgrade over the Roush tune.
