Yes I followed instructions to the T. I have not yet talked to white madness garage. It just seems odd it comes with 2 of the plastic peices like they are expecting one to break. I can get assembly brand new from ford dealer online for 148 and my local shop said 125 to install the assembly. I...
And after what I did you can shift from any gear without using break. I'm assuming it can't push it now cause on both sides there are break points that would of connected to the switch and caused it to lock.
I have extra one. I'm talking about the factory solenoid. It has a piece of white plastic that it moves in and out to lock in gear so you have to press brake into release. That broke some how on this.
Part of the kit. And yes it went in easy. When I tested it at first it seemed to be hart to press down then loosened up. Could of been when damage was done. Go-to white mustle garage. May make more sense when you see kit. There are threads on here as well people have done
Well update. So I drill the hole and put in wood screw go pull out won't budge. I decide pull harder and it snaps off another piece. I go at it again and snap again. Investigate and notice the white pieces for the shift lock solenoid are broke. So looks like somehow it got jambed in there. I...
Looks alot better look at pics. Now if only I can get it to work. Lol. I also have the manual boot bezel so get rid of ugly arse plastic stuff around it
I was pulling trsight up and twisting a bit to try to wiggle loose. If it was stuck I'm not sure how I can still push it down some and slide up some just stops. I have tried in other gears no luck. It shifts into all gears fine it just doesn't keep you from shifting when you shouldn't be able to
You evidently have never seen how ugly the factory auto shifter looks. Not only does it make it inch shorter it allows you to use standard shift knobs.
I'm finding it hard to believe there are no videos on assembly and disassembly of this area of shifter. On good note worse case is the shifter assembly is little over 100 dollars. Just no tutorial on how to deal out that I located yet. Lol
I'm thinking of taking small drill bit and drill down a bit. Then. Screw a slightly bigger screw in and pull out. Or a bit more risky would be to use a drill bit smaller that metal and drill down little bit at time pulling bits of plastic out. Then try to use the two holes to slide up like...
