Finally wore out the stock Pirelli's and got some Motegi Traklite's 18x9 with some Conti DSW06Plus 255/45. Still on the stock suspension for the time being.
I alternated lifting up the front corners (drivers side). There are two snap in tabs on the driver side that will give eventually. On the very front near the gauge there are curved lips that help guide the front end in and out. Hope that helps.
Almost a year later and I'm finally getting around to addressing this issue. As I mentioned, the center of the display has been a glare issue for me.
I'm shorter than you so obviously our viewing angles will be different. I don't have any issues with the analogs on either side, though I can see...
I made my own puck a long time ago from a piece of 2x4. Cut a puck groove in it (against the grain) and its held up for years. Cheapo depot.
But the rails are a very convenient alternative I plan on taking advantage of soon.
For me, Waze just shows there is a cop. It's a guessing game as to what said cop is doing and exactly where they are at.
I hear ya though... there are pro's and con's to it. Best defense though is both Waze and a detector.

Bat/Throw - right hand dominant but can switch up comfortably
Flipping people off - left hand
