Jay is super-responsive and doesn't seem to get annoyed with the million questions i've had in preparation for pickup this Friday. I'm really looking forward to the survey that comes after the vehicle is purchased.
Track order delivery times by model, put it in a pivot table, that way you can average delivery time by model, by dealer location, whether ordered pre or post Flat Rock shutdown, and priority codeā¦.if youāre a true data afficionado š
@Jay at Granger is there a QC process that you and the team perform upon delivery? Iām sure that youāre all very prepared for out of towners ready to scrutinize Fordās fine work.
Mine supposedly shipped via rail on 8/25 with a dealer ETA 8/27 - 9/2, and tonight, the tracker shows new ETA of 9/3 - 9/9. Like did they leave the keys back in Flat Rock and back the train all the way to go get them? Cutting it close, since dealer set a date of 9/13 to start PPF and 4H...
On the upside, it is a seller's market for used cars if you have one. I'm expecting a new Mach 1 at Granger's in a week or so. I have a firm offer for 80% of what i paid for my 2016 GT premium when it was new....with 72k miles, all the while getting a Mach 1 at below invoice.
At this point, and seeing some of you all's delays, i fully expect my next status update to be something along the lines of "Mach 1 turned into a Transformer, got tired of waiting on the rail to pick it up, and yeeted itself into Lake Michigan." But at least I'm built now.
