I am very much a creature of habit. I generally only fill up at 1 of 3 stations in the entire city of Houston. Which I do mostly so that I know where to avoid if for any reason I get a bad tank of fuel, which has happened to me before. I never ran beyond stage 1 on the cobb because really for...
So for me I ran a cobb OTS stage 1 tune for about 6 months on my car. I had a cat-back and intercooler as well. I can tell you the difference between my stage 1 and my custom tune that I had done by Adam (Tune+) is night and day. The stage 1 tune is not terrible by any means, it woke the car up...
I like the fact that if I should decide to trade up to a 18 ecoboost I simply just need to update my Accessport with 18 software and boom I can pay Adam to tune that car.
Best suggestion I can give, inbetween runs in the staging lanes, just leave the car turned off and the hood open to help keep temps down. That's what I do when I'm at the track. Helps with IAT's and what not.
I'm curious as well. I know stock so far I've seen 2 people on the facebook group post up 13.5 at 102. So they definitely have more pep. I figured there wouldn't really be any difference in ET's but I was wrong for sure.
Well there are a couple of folks on the facebook groups that stepped up with stock slips. Very nice. I figured the 18's were pretty much the same just had the 10spd autos. Looks like they pack more over all punch as both posted 13.5 at 102mph time slips. Pretty impressive stuff.
Just been curious what folks have ran stock with the A10 transmissions with the 2018 ecoboosts. I cannot find a video anywhere with a time or time slips on here. I'm thinking there won't really be any difference in Et's but none the less, if you've ran post up those slips.
There's not a chance in the world the v6 will outperform the Ecoboost in any way shape or form stock vs stock. When I rented a v6 in 2015 I raced a friends ecoboost.
Almost 54k miles. Been tuned since 1500 miles (Cobb tune at that time) and around 10k miles I went with a E-tune from Adam at Tune+. I drive the car daily to and from work, so about 350 miles a week. Regular oil changes and spark plug changes. Car runs just fine.
First thing is what tuning device would you prefer to use. IMO there are only 2 worth a flip for our platform. the NGauge and the Cobb Accessport. Cobb to me has more features to utilize. Both devices you can data log with to be able to send them to your tuner occassionally to make sure...
Based on what you've written I have a couple of questions.
1. What is your total amount of timing you are seeing? Your command timing + advanced corrections
2. What are your charge temps and IAT's?
I would think 26psi and a spike of 30psi on a shift is a bit excessive. But it also sounds like...
