Maybe BMW knows more about what their mainstay customer enjoys and doesn't see any need in catering to the small number of road racers who may buy their product.
I guess its difficult for some to understand that the GT350 is about to do what the Corvette has done for some time and that is compete with the worlds best at a mere fraction of the cost. The Corvette bashing is nonsense at that point. There are a few of you guys that really need a cold shower.

That really sounds like a good thing. Healthy for Ford. I applaud Ford for taking the initiative, dedicating the R&D funds, and bringing a world class offering in this arena to market. I would honestly love to see Ford cannibalize sales from the likes of Porsche, BMW, etc. I personally...
It would appear that some here are under the impression that there are no more or will be no more GT350s to go around. You might want to rethink that one.
Sounds good Dude! Did you find one at that price used? Good job if you did. I guess it depends on condition, miles, and seller motivation at that point.
Not here to convince you that I am correct in my statement regarding the C7. You can do your homework if you feel the need discredit or verify other members here. Go to the Corvette Forum and look at the C7 Stingray fast list. You appear quite ignorant regarding the C7. The information is there...
Correct Sir, I know little or nothing about road racing and have no problem admitting that. I've also never known another Mustang guy that cared about it either. No big deal, get over it!
1st time I've ever seen someone bashed and psycho analyzed in the some post on an automotive enthusiast forum. I can assure you that I am far from delusional my friend. You can tell yourself that there is a high percentage of Mustangers who are focused on road racing. There are obviously some...

Guilty as charged!
I know essentially nothing about road racing, road courses, track days there, etc. I also really don't care about Boxsters, Caymans and Miatas(YUK).
I will likely purchase a GT350 because it is a 10 in the looks department, has over 500HP, and is new. I could...

Yes, I think everyone here already is well aware that the GT350 is intended to have its best attributes shine in the road course environment however small that niche may be for a Ford Mustang. What I am saying and th Ford engineers well understand is that this car is going to still need to...
gl
Track days, public unveilings, etc. are nice. What this car needs is some stellar reviews in the auto press and whether the the corner carvers like it not some good acceleration metrics. This is still a Ford Mustang and that smacks MUSCLE CAR all day long. Good acceleration numbers...
gl
We all applaud Ford for their brilliance with this Mustang iteration.
Unfortunately the Mustang is really never going to be on the same plane as Porsche or the Corvette. Ford is going to need an entirely new product with most of all a fresh name if they want to make inroads for the long...
gl
Be absolutely certain that the 1/4 mile E.T. and trap MPH are and will be the metric of record for this car regardless of what it was designed for. The overwhelming majority of these GT350s will never see a track. One of the car mags needs to run the damn thing until they can post a sub 12...

The "fiasco" is really just a temporary delay but is frustrating to those who have in many cases paid a premium for an early delivery. All will pass and in a year or less you will have them in stock looking for a home just as it has been with every other SVT offering, Shelby badged or not.
gl
These inconsistencies however eyebrow raising they are could be attributable to the known variability between "Dyno" machines themselves, their maintanence, calebrations, and to yet another extent the atmospheric conditions.
gl Gotcha. Great explanation. Thanks, puts it in the proper context. Gotta wonder when Porsche will put all their track car eggs in the Cayman basket. Looks like they are a good ways in that direction already.
gl That is some interesting stuff. I think there may be some fairly significant driver variability here. I am finding it very difficult to believe that a Cayman GT4 bests a 911 GT3 by over 2 seconds. It is really cool to see a Ford Mustang ranking and running amidst the worlds best. This is...
gl I forgot to mention that downside of the Rousch stuff-huge depreciation factor. A Mustang with the Shelby badge experiences depreciation profoundly lower than the Rousch stuff.
Look at the mass produced, assembly line, GT500s. 50,000 of them farted out. An '07 that stickered in the low 40s...
gl I was just offered a new, $71,000, Rousch RS3 for 58K over the phone. That was their asking price. That is a real cool car. Ford and their dealer network of Neanderthals is making the many alternatives far more appealing.
