What's your eboost set up? Single or dual solenoid? 3 part or 4 port? Your settings and my settings could need to be drastically different if your running different solenoids. Best bet is to adjust and test until you get it right.
Im not watching a douchy Alex video sorry but he was saying that same crap back when every other tuner there said it was fine to run the flex tune full time as long as you let it adjust after each fill up with different fuel. Again, I ran mine on and off for 3 years with no issue. I preferred...
Its inferred very similar to the logic ford uses in their flex vehicles that come with warranties. I get using a sensor would be more accurate and adjust quicker but it still works.
I have an old flex tune from lund from before they stopped offering it. Only used it for road trips mostly but it worked well. I dint really get why they stopped offering it? Ive never saw anyone coming on here saying their flex tune caused an engine issue.
Technically I'm still tuned by Lund but have every intention of using a new tuner when I finally decide to throw a fuel system at my gt. My reason is I want a tuner that will work with the set up i want, not tell me what parts I have to use because it's easier on them.
How many were boosted? Gen 3s don't fail stock. They don't even fail boosted with good tuning and gas.
DI is completely reliable on these cars. One guy chimes in everytime saying its a weak point but I've yet to see a single gen 3 have a DI issue.
Gen 2 guys will say its better, Gen 3 guys...
Make sure there is no air in the hydraulic system first and no leaks. Pump the brakes a million times. Vacuum bleed the master. Verify if if the shifter is stock. Some aftermarket ones need to be adjusted correctly. Once your sure that's OK if the problem is still there you might have an issue...
Any info on your car? Base gt, pp1? Na or boosted? Does it happen quick or after prolonged driving, location, Etc... If your temps are climbing that quick without extreme outside temps and hard driving I'd start by making sure everything is working properly first.
The spray in liners are stronger and more wear resistant. I think ford even stated somewhere around 40-50% stronger than the gen 2 but dont quote me on that number. Yes they are one and done though, ill give you that.
DI is what allows the extra compression reliably on the gen 3 and superior...
Well if Ice T endorsed it, it must be legit!
Personally I'd never do it. Put the money you would spend on the policy away for a rainy day and use it on the car if you need too.
I had a few minutes to kill today so I asked myself "should I watch this douchbag's video? Or ram my junk into a pole for 5 minutes?" Lets just say my junk is pretty sore now... Still feel like I made the right choice.
