Yes it is very odd that it doesn't help going on to 98. Potentially there is some carbon build up (even though I only have 26,000km on it) so I am going to add some petrol injector cleaner in and see if that helps.

Clearly you didn't even read my original message which you even quoted above :crazy:
1. Running 98 does NOT stop it happening.
2. Knock has been tested and confirmed by Ford technicians. The head tech is aware of the issue and has experienced it with other GTs as well.
Would love to see the evidence that ghost cams can cause this. Everything I have read suggests that long term use may damage your cats and foul up your plugs. Haven't seen anything suggesting engine failure due to it.
