I'm looking to add a little more roar to go with the speed and looks, but I'm concerned that the sound will be too much with the top down, particularly at highways speeds. I have to travel several hours most days, and I enjoy doing it with the top down while I listen to audiobooks or good music...
Forget the financial planners on this board. I get what you meant. The new stang really is freaking beautiful. I passed the new Jaguar XKR the other day, and while I'd ordinarily salivate, now I just said, "meh, the stang looks better."

Funny you mention this. I've put rainx religiously on all my cars without problems. Put it for the first time on my 15 GT vert and it created a smear that left the windscreen fogged up for weeks. No amount of scrubbing would get it off. Tried all kinds of window cleaners, nothing. Had to wait...
Not exactly true. You can detect the lidar/laser being targeted at the car in front of you, and react accordingly. If your detector can't do this, upgrade.

Tapping into the mirror is ok for things like radar detectors, which use a 12v input. However, most dash came use 5v, which is why the cable is a miniusb. You should just buy a hard-wire kit online for $5, run the wire under the liner and a-pillar and tap into the fuse box on the passenger-side...
Ok, that's BS. The fuel is always going through the pump and motor while the car is running, cooling it. If there is no fuel, then the car doesn't run. More fuel does not equal "more cooling."

Just noticed that when the top is down and you leave the car locked, the center console and glove compartment also lock automatically. That's a cool feature.

^^this. One of the best things about the mustang is its utility. Just this weekend, I packed my wife, 20 month old daughter, a large beach gazebo, 2 coolers, snorkeling gear, toys, a pick nick basket, and a few bags of miscellaneous stuff into the mustang and went to the beach with the top down...
Bought this at Bed Bath & Beyond. Lower back problems fixed and it doesn't look half bad.
It's called a "backjoy" something or other.

Hard wire the dashcam to a 12 volt source that shots off when you shut off the car (such as the rearview mirror or other accessory), and then you won't have that problem.

The cable is going to run into the center console, by the e-brake--not much way to know what it's connected to without tearing the interior down. Will post pics this weekend.

To the dude having trouble: You could try disconnecting the plug from the rear view mirror and placing the pins in. That should make it easier v

^^ thanks folks. I'm gonna let him know when he finishes the install on Saturday. I really don't care how it's done as long as it's a good balance of security and durability.

Seriously?? The installer said he had to go directly to the starter because there were three ignition signaling wires coming from the start button, and you can't splice them because it's computer controlled. Didn't make much sense to me, but that's what I was told. Does really splicing that wire...
