Predator cams wonāt work as they have the Gen 3 reluctor wheel (they are a hybrid but will need a Predator ECU )
you will have get the Ford racing 5.2 cams which retail for $1700 ⦠if you can find them or custom cams

Thinking of picking up a bower relatively cheap and throwing it on my āspare āRPG engine .
I already have a whipple on the engine in the car now so if I swap in the spare motor would be able to use the heat exchanger in the car already .

Cams and rest of the valve train / and other stuff to complete the engine will be less than $5k .
So for $20K you can get a much better engine.

My GT 350 was making 920 hp at the wheels @16 psi /ID1300ās / triple pumps
if you are making close to that @15psu , could the 1050ās /dual pump be maxed out ?
May be a leak down test as the failure could be the top end ?
if you do rebuild with cross plane crank , you can keep the same lash adjuster with the 5.2 cross plane cams .
The 5.2 crank is about $1200 , 5.2 cams about $1600.
