Let’s start off with the exhaust… Kooks 1 7/8” headers without catalytic converters, steeda X pipe, and the stock active exhaust. The tune is by Wengerd, I run 93 and E85. I highly recommend Wengerd performance. Brakes are AP racing, cams are Comp Cams Stage II mother thumper. I was putting...
I completely understand but $228 for for just covers does seem like a lot. Also, if that gentleman decides to track that car, the standard rear brake gets unbelievably hot, so I’m not sure how that would work out…. The first thing to go on my Mach 1 was the powdercoating and pistons seals on...
I thought that one of the “parts out of the bin” was the exhaust from the GT500…. Are they not the same part number? Mine is pretty aggressive in track mode with the addition of long tube headers (sans the green cats on track) and a steeda X-pipe. Having run at Mid Ohio quite a bit Ive been...
I’m seeing days above 40F and would like to blow the dust off naturally…. Im hesitant to prime because when I did my OPG’s and cams It look a very long time to see pressure.
I have noticed that with switching to components with less compliance I get more creaking than anything. Also crossing even a very shallow gutter (driveway to road transition) always at an angle because of the HP splitter and Verus diffuser clearances. I can get opposing corners off the...
It’s a four piston from AP Racing. Front is a six piston. More of a race brake than a street brake. Although their street compound is identical to what comes on the Mach 1 from the factory (Ferodo 2500).
This reminded me of an A5 I had in Miami once. What a piece of trash. It felt like a 2 door that they put 4 doors on trying to get in and out was bananas. I thought oh Audi this will be nice, what a disappointment.
I spend half my life in rental and crew cars so the only one that I didn't like was a GT convertible and 4 runner. Compared to my Mach 1 it was very different in the way it handled. 315 sq., Apex forged, AP racing Brakes, and Steeda EVERYTHING suspension has transformed this thing into...
I just removed the cover. It’s held by a tether with a barbed end and can be removed so it doesn’t flop around/you don’t have to tape it down. Some people drill a hole in the middle and reinstall it, but I didn’t want modify it.
