  1. Official: 2026 Dark Horse SC makes 790hp

I like the car, but the pricing on the track pack and special edition (or whatever it’s called) are laughable.
  2. 6:40.8 Nurburgring Lap Time: New Mustang GTD COMPETITION Crushes Own Record

Someone on Reddit postited that these could be the tires used on the GTD Competition.
  3. 6:40.8 Nurburgring Lap Time: New Mustang GTD COMPETITION Crushes Own Record

I'm just going to copy what I said over on 7g: That's a great achievement! I'm glad that they included that it's a street legal variant, so we don't have the endless arguing here about that. I still think it's asinine that you have to apply to Ford to give them a ridiculous sum of money, but...
  4. Ford GT becomes the fastest gas powered car to ever lap the Nurburgring!

Sure, but it’s the internet, so it doesn’t take long for things to get derailed. Post #2 makes a comment about Chevy, which implies that they’re talking about the ZR1/X. Plus, there really isn’t much to say about the video in and of itself—it’s an amazing lap in an amazing car! Not much else to...
  5. Ford GT becomes the fastest gas powered car to ever lap the Nurburgring!

I agree with you, but--while factually true--it's a bit disingenuous to mention that the Mk IV GT and XR1X were in the same category. One is a street car that is simply not-for-sale in the EU, and the other is a track only car with no pretense of street use. They're massively different, IMO.
  6. New GTD Ring Time - Your Move GM

That GT is not a street legal car, even when it’s in the public’s hands. It’s still an awesome car and a great accomplishment, but not relevant in the slightest to the GTD or ZR1/X times.
  7. New GTD Ring Time - Your Move GM

People that actually track their cars care more about what it does on tracks here versus a track they will most likely never drive. Internet bench racers care more about the ‘Ring than anyone else, IMO.
  8. New GTD Ring Time - Your Move GM

So true. At least you can order a ZR1 if you actually want one instead of having to be picked for the privilege of handing over 400K to Ford.
  9. New GTD Ring Time - Your Move GM

This whole thread is built on speculation. It seems ridiculous to me to claim they beat GM with a completely unverified time, but here we are.
  10. 2026 Dark Horse SC Mustang (S650) Pricing Released

Can we please cool it with the 6:41 talk until something official comes out? There’s a huge difference between speculation and an official time. Doesn’t anyone remember the ZR1X time that was within spitting distance of the AMG One?
  11. New GTD Ring Time - Your Move GM

I think the bigger issue is that people are spreading non-official times as if they’re actually official times. Does nobody remember the supposed ZR1X times that were within spitting distance of the AMG One?
  12. Dark Horse SC vs Corvette Z06: The better buy?

I haven’t driven a Z07 Z06, but I found the standard Z06 suspension to be incredibly compliant and honestly, a little soft for my taste. I would assume the Z07 cars will be firmer but totally acceptable for street driving. The exhaust on the Z06 is quite a bit louder in cabin than the Stingray.
  13. 2026 Dark Horse SC Mustang (S650) Pricing Released

The pricing on the track pack and special edition is laughable.
  14. Dark Horse SC, who's adding one, who's replacing with one, what will it do to GT500 values?

Just accounting for inflation, the MSRP for a base car would be around 90K in today’s dollars. Expecting anything less than that is an unrealistic fantasy. A 2022 CFTP car would be around 117K, so add the cost of carbon ceramics and a few other new for the DHSC options, and it’s not unreasonable...
  15. Dark Horse SC, who's adding one, who's replacing with one, what will it do to GT500 values?

I think they’re both nice looking cars, but the interior of the DH SC is a huge downgrade from the GT500. The touch screen climate controls, the lack of toggle switches, and that fake carbon fiber around the center console are all horrible.
  16. 2026 Mustang Dark Horse SC (S650) - Official Specs, Photos, Videos

Unfortunately, that has a zero percent chance of happening considering pricing for the 2022 GT500 ranged from about 90K-140K in today’s dollars.
  17. 2026 Mustang Dark Horse SC (S650) - Official Specs, Photos, Videos

I don’t believe they’ve announced pricing, but if you adjust the price of the 2022 GT500 for inflation, it would now range from around 90K-140K.
  18. If something happened to your S550, would you replace with a Dark Horse?

Touch screen climate controls are such a PITA.
  19. 2026 Mustang Dark Horse SC (S650) - Official Specs, Photos, Videos

I’d like that theoretical car with a manual as well, though it would likely have a different name because there’s already a Dark Horse R and a Dark Horse S (though I believe they’re track only or race only cars).
  20. The 10 Fastest Mustangs MotorTrend Has Ever Tested

Seriously. Three tenths from #3 to #10, and the gap from #2 to #10 only adds another tenth, but let’s be real, that car isn’t a real Mustang.
