  1. SCCA CAM-C Thread

Yeah I did an install video of our wing kit. How you tie into the trunk, especially with wings that make a lot of downforce is important.
  2. Archetype Racing - My Experience

Absolutely mind blowing if this guy is back in business. I hope this thread gets shared everywhere.
  3. What difference does the Gurney flap make as far as downforce and cornering? And at what speeds is it most effective?

Since this thread has to do with aero, heres my videos of taking my GT350 to the wind tunnels.
  4. Archetype Racing - My Experience

Yes, all our parts are done with vacuum, either vacuum bagging or resin infusion, with a very few parts being compression molded. We do zero wet layups since they produce parts that are heavier and weaker.
  5. What difference does the Gurney flap make as far as downforce and cornering? And at what speeds is it most effective?

I've tested gurney flaps on many wings and factory wings, even tested a 1/2" tall gurney on a GT350 wing, all in a full scale wind tunnel and I've seen them add 20lbs of Df and I've see them add 120lbs of Df at 100 mph. So it definitely does something but would be as much or as efficient as a...
  6. AJ Hartman Aero's GT350 Build

Tested out a bunch of changes last event.
  7. AJ Hartman Aero's GT350 Build

Recap of SCCA Nationals at NCM. Finished 4th of 14.
  8. AJ Hartman Aero's GT350 Build

Since I brought some CNC capacity in house I've been tinkering with some more (or nicer) suspensions bits. I just got back from SCCA TT Nationals at NCM and will get a video of that up soon.
  9. Will a universal tow hook fit my 2022 MACH 1? Need to no ASAP PLEASE!

I'm still looking for a vendor for just the D ring part. I should have an option soon. But for the Mach 1's I think they have a built in recievers so just need the lug and Dring. For anyone wondering, the thread I believe is an RD18 x 1/8" Left hand thread. Very odd thread and I went down a...
  10. AJ Hartman Aero's GT350 Build

Working on a few odds and ends. Made myself a steering wheel. Made the wheel, grips, and hub adapter. Only thing I bought was the quick release. Also made myself some vertical links. 100% done in house (ok, I had to buy the sphericals). I made myself solid bushing on my lathe a year or so ago...
  11. Archetype Racing - My Experience

Hey Everyone. After 3 people sent me links to this thread I felt the need to comment. Some of you may know me, several even mentioned me in earlier posts (thank you!), but for those of you that don't, I'll post some links below of a bunch of content. But to keep it short, I primarily specialize...
  12. AJ Hartman Aero's GT350 Build

Much appreciated! But the AWD mustang is about 10 levels above what I'm doing at the moment. That thing is wild engineering.
  13. AJ Hartman Aero's GT350 Build

You are correct. I just usually check tire rack for sizes and they didn't list a 305 (or atleast when I checked). I can definitely check them out at some point. And on my car 18's are not possible with the factory brakes and I'm not about to spend 5k on smaller front brakes to be able to then...
  14. AJ Hartman Aero's GT350 Build

The rules are anything rated 200 treadwear. But I need something in 305/30/19 or maybe 315. I don't think the others you mentioned have my size. I'm also looking to get another set of wheels and going wider since I'm allowed any width tire. Just has to be 200tw.
  15. GT500 Airbox kit VS WARTHOG 2 Vs Plexi Glass cover?

Hey everyone. @monte87 just pulled the trigger on his airbox lid. I believe the only difference is the forward mounting tab on the M1 has the hole about 3/8" farther rearward that the GT350. I have one on the shelf for the GT350 but gonna layup another one for monte and drill the hole where the...
  16. AJ Hartman Aero's GT350 Build

Got to run at an SCCA TT event at Pitt Race. Ran a 1:53.2 on 305 RT660's in Max2. But the big thing was testing the coolant relocation kit. All worked well and I was able to use my AiM to log ECT temps to confirm its all working as it should. It was in the mid 90's the one day and saw temps...
  17. Interesting Aero vid

Yeah, we saw a larger pressure drop across radiator and oil coolers with them. Canards also had a positive effect on cooling too which is cool.
  18. Interesting Aero vid

Pictures of this exact hole? I havent seen one of the new cars close enough yet.
  19. Interesting Aero vid

I've tested this in the wind tunnel on several cars and several sizes now. They are not very efficient and always increase drag, BUT do create a good downforce gain.
  20. Interesting Aero vid

Not sure if its your wording but we gained some Df when we blocked them. Just wanted to clarify. We did pick up a tiny bit of drag too.
