I have been lead to think the amp was causing the power draw, so I added another remote wire for the amp, ran it to the fuse box in the passenger area, and connected it to the power windows fuse, while also connecting the remote wire for the converter to the amp. Without the extra remote wire...
I doubt it but idk, this is currently my 3rd amp, 2 were 600W amps and this one is a 1200W, they never really drained the battery before
I tried that before, and it didn’t work, I let the car sit a day and a half after that, and it didn’t have enough power to start
It’s a brand new battery, I got it about 2 weeks ago, checked the voltage at 14.5V, repeatedly turned off and started it about 5-6 times, and then drove it around for 30 minutes with no issues. Already got the battery/alternator tested and both are good
I had disconnected it before I jump started it, with it connected it would show 12.8-13.5V, and having it sit longer than a day would cause it to not have enough power to start, the only thing I have added is a amp for my sub, and I have gotten the battery tested, the battery is good and the...
I have a 2016 GT, was recently dealing with my battery dying after sitting for longer than a day, has anyone had issues with the BMS and the current sensors? I jump started the car and disconnected the negative current sensor and my dash voltage is reading 14.2 V while my tuner reads 14.5-14.7 V
ANOTHER UPDATE: just got home, was going to start it when this message was on my sync screen, car unlocked fine and everything, and then I heard the throttle body actuating and a clicking noise from the fuse box area, pulled the black relay in one of the pictures below, and it stopped, put it...
I think what had happened was that I replaced my old battery without doing the BMS reset until the day after installing it, but even after doing it everything has been pretty good
So update: did the BMS reset, let the car run for about 30 minutes yesterday. Went to start it today and it barely had enough power to turn the starter over, in dash voltage read 13.8V to 14.2V to 14.0V
Now that I don’t know but considering that I’ve let the car sit for over a week and a half at one point with it still plugged into and it still fired right up, it’s probably not drawing anything when the car is off
Other than the battery, nothing has changed to the car
Only recent maintenance was plugs, no events or alarms
In dash display reads 14.3V while my NGuage reads 14.5V
Previous battery was put in ~August of 2023
Driving it usually depends, maybe 3-4 days a week, usually to work and back (33...
I have a 2016 Mustang GT, car has 132k miles on it. Recently been having an issue where if the car sits for longer than a day, the battery dies. Recently replaced battery and car sat for 2 days, and had no power, what could the issue be? Only thing aftermarket wired up is my amp/sub setup, and...
It does say to use the non-PP GT belly pan, the issue was that at the time when I ordered the bumper, it didn’t come with the handling pack lip, nor did I know that I needed the lip to be able to connect the belly pan. I’m on the verge of ordering the same bumper from somewhere else because of...
