I picked up car a few days ago, with the new steering rack, and "no more noise" according to the service advisor.
This time they had removed the cover draped over a car in the showroom, which I previously only could guess was a Mustang, and I could see what model it was: a dark horse.
I've...
Presumably, but will see. Hopefully that's all, and the warning about something else possibly also being bad is because it is sometimes hard to tell if a linked part is also contributing to the problem before the main part has been fixed, which seems reasonable to me.
Anyway, if you're not a...
I don't know. I'm not sure if something like that could get bent later on without a serious bump? Some other guy in this thread posted he got his replaced shortly after his five year warranty finished, if I remember right, so maybe a similar situation? I don't know.
It didn't make that sound...
You are right, it makes no sense, and I also tried to explain to the the dealer that it sounded almost impossible.
From their point of view though, if they in fact genuinely believe such markings means it's a second hand replacement part: saying that "we can't know what happened when it was in...
Can you clarify what you mean by being very careful here? Should it make any difference if I contact Ford Spain and try to tell them to expect
a warranty claim from my dealer (I'm sure they'll be suitably perplexed by me calling to tell them), or if I only call them after the dealer has...
Sorry, I thought you were asking if there were marks other places under my car. The advisor offered me to look under the other cars when I said the marks must have been there from the factory (there were a dozen or so other cars up on lifts around there, though I did not notice any Mustangs)...
I've been able to find a handful of more images on the internet that also shows various similar marks on the undercarriage, and which I've downloaded to my phone for tomorrow.
Hopefully this will resolve that particular issue, though it seems bizarre almost to the point of unbelievable to me...
No, we had a look, and could not see any others.
Maybe, but you'd have to know it would be a problem. I've been mostly doing my own oil changes and I'm pretty sure I've seen some of those marks since my first change, but not sure enough to swear on it, and in any case, no idea it could become...
I took my car (2020 Mustang GT here in Europe) to the main dealer here
for a yearly service and some minor things, and also asked them to
check a slight noise I've hearing for a while when turning the wheel
(sounded like a cable of some sorts bumping into something to me).
I was supposed to...
Any new European recommendations here? My battery is five years old and based on how it has been feeling/sounding when starting up the car the last few times, I think I should be replacing it soon.
Can't help unfortunately, as I replaced my cheaper dashboard camera with a more stylish high-end model that came with it's own separate rear camera before I got around to this.
For what it's worth: my battery is five years, is parked within wifi coverage and mobile signal coverage, keyless entry is enabled, and also no problems.
Another thing is that the battery may have been mishandled by previous owner by being left to completely discharge, which it sounds like might have happened if it didn't start when you received the car. I've done this by mistake on other cars, and after doing this one or twice (stupidity...
Also note that from what I've read here, it takes a rather long time, more than one full fuel tank, for the system to adjust to take full advantage of the higher octane fuel. So just putting in premium fuel on your way to track will not do it, if you've up until then been running lower octane...
I think before doing any further speculation one would need to have an estimate of the number of GT 350s and GT500s sold by Ford. If the number of GT500s sold by Ford is twice that of GT350s sold, the strange thing would be if there was not twice as many GT500s available second hand.
Sometimes I too feel the horn is too wimpy and priusy. Would nice to have something deeper, more growling, more fitting. Like the growl of a rottweiler rather than a poodle.
A train horn is overdoing it a bit, though there has been one or two cases where I would not have minded that option.
Join the club. If careful and you know what you're doing by having watched pictures of how it looks inside first, it's possible to do carefully. After a couple take off/put back on repetitions mine broke too though.
Instead of buying a new housing I used velcro tape however. Glued two pieces...
What a brilliant idea. Will take a bit more space when parking I guess, but I feel an immediate need to order something like that. Going to keep it in the trunk, ready to use whenever I'm parking in the city, or anywhere but my garage.
What would these people say if they actually went racing one day, rather than having a hpde trackday? They participated in the F1 grand prix?
Luc nailed it: anyone who goes to track, for hpde or other things, has no illusions that they are participating in a race when on a hpde.
