  1. Do NOT buy from ikon motorsports

Can't recommend anyone in your area. If the Style of the Ikon hood is what you want, and you don't mind spending some $, I suggest you find a shop that does custom work and/or works on older vehicles and hotrods. Not an insurance shop. You need someone old-school. Experience won't be cheap but...
  2. Do NOT buy from ikon motorsports

Yeah, heating the hood is not going to do anything. LOL. The gap/spacing issue between the hood and fender can be adjusted. I did it on my car. The height issue will require a repair on the hood to re-shape the curve to match the fender. Again, it appears to me it's shipping damage and...
  3. Do NOT buy from ikon motorsports

Most of what I see in your pics is likely shipping damage and not extremely difficult to repair. I am skeptical if your body shop told you it would require "bondo" across the entire hood. The fenders on these cars have a ton of adjustment. I have about 3 hours into fine tuning the fit of my...
  4. Do NOT buy from ikon motorsports

Based on your pics, it appears the hood was either damaged in shipping or at the body shop and nobody caught it before it was painted. A decent shop would have notified you of the damage instead of painting over it. The fender to hood gap is adjustable and there's a lot of room on these fenders...
  5. Cervini gt500 hood rain tray removal

Yeah, that's not how my hoses are routed. My hood has an opening forward of the RT side hood hinge where the hose goes through and connects to the jets inside the hood shell. I'd get a pic for you but I'm nowhere near my car. If you don't have the internal routing option, you could get a couple...
  6. Cervini gt500 hood rain tray removal

The washer hose should be routed inside the hood shell. Mine go nowhere near the rain tray. Maybe the '18 - '23 design is a little different?
  7. Cervini gt500 hood rain tray removal

I have a few plastic washers too, and yes, I skip every other stud with the rain tray out.
  8. Cervini gt500 hood rain tray removal

The nuts supplied by Cervini are capped and will bottom out if the rain tray is removed. I just used a regular open nut with a couple large washers on each stud. I usually don't put a nut on each stud without the rain tray because the vent grille still has the small sheet metal retainers on it...
  9. Internal clip on wing mirror damaged by detailer, debating replacing.

That clip is likely one of multiples that snap the mirror bezel onto the mirror housing. There are others that will still keep it attached but it will probably be a little loose on that corner. A little dob of epoxy should hold it. Only other option is to replace it.
  10. Torsen axle clunking

My Torsen is also "Clunky". Mostly when turning and/or under heavy throttle. If it's at a dealer you should look into a used car extended warranty. Although, it may not cover aftermarket modifications........
  11. Blew up my gen3 motor and don’t know where to go from here

Throw a used motor in, cage it, and take it to the track!
  12. Hood corrosion - am I on my own?

Years back I had my car into a number of dealers for a transmission issue and I asked about the hood corrosion. I was told I was outside of the warranty when in actuality it was still under the corrosion warranty. Unfortunately I took their word for it and there was nothing in writing. Dealers...
  13. Track day tire decision

The endurance league I race in is a "spec tire" series. We all have to run the Hankook RS4 tire. For a 200TW tire, they are remarkably good. Very predictable at the limit, decent grip, adequate in the rain, and we can get 20 or more hours out of a set depending on the track and weather conditions.
  14. Rear bumper cover not fully attached

Looks like it's sitting back just a bit. You could loosen the screw where it goes through the tip and try to push it forward while tightening the screw. If that doesn't work, you may need a new bracket, or the place on the bumper that snaps into the bracket may be torn.
  15. The Coyote Swapped ZR-1

It is a BMW to BMW swap. We had to fabricate a LOT of stuff to make it fit and got a 6-speed manual out of Germany that's a direct bolt-on. It weighs in at just over 2,800 lbs with driver and 1/2 tank of fuel. We're still working out some bugs after initial cooling issues that took out our...
  16. The Coyote Swapped ZR-1

You can get a LOT of power out of a diesel. I helped the guys I race with build an E46 BMW and swapped in a 3 liter M57 bi-turbo diesel from a 335d. On a mild tune, it's pushing over 350 rwh and almost 570 ftlbs at the rear wheels.
  17. Bumper / Fender reinforcement

We've used a couple different methods on racecars. both are fairly easy to install and allow easy removal of the bumper.
  18. Full Send Lap in the MMR GT350 @ Willow Springs Raceway

Wow! Nice lap. Looks like 7-8-9 are still super bumpy. Hopefully the new ownership will address it.
  19. Electrical issue **SOLVED**

I hate electrical problems. With a passion. Hope you find it and it's a simple fix.
