Nice work. Good to see hard numbers. Thanks for measuring.
I love the smoke head/taillights on certain paint colors.
but they do clearly reduce brightness, which is a safety feature.
Would be nice for a manufacturer to offer brighter lights that make up the difference behind the smoked housings.
weird. Should feel like a rocket launch, pushing you into your seatback.
how are your 0-60 and 1/r mile times?
I guess feel could be subjective, but times and mph will tell the factual story. If times and mph are what they should be, then maybe your feeler is miscalibrated? But really you know...
mite a waste. Ruin your car for no reason. If you want to save weight, switch out the front seats, the wheels, varioys suspension components, battery, hood, etc.
Rear seat setup is nothing.
This is a Mustang GTD compared to a Corvette. This is what Ford said was a "race car modified to be street legal." They marketed it that way, and they priced it that way. The comparison is fair.
If it were a GT or Dark Horse, etc, of course, we would all agree this was not a fair comparison...
In a straight line, the exrtra power helped - and on the long stretches of the track. Did the track actually have long stretches?
In the corners, curves, etc. a track alignment is a far more important advantage than horsepower.
This wasn't apples to apples.
But we have seen apples to...
Guys, let's be honest. The GTD got whooped by the Vette and even Porsche. Everyday YouTubers are getting the feeling the GTD "can't even touch" the ZR1. It is what it is.
but round 2 is coming up and we will see what's what. Ring times are great for the new car and I bet it means that other...
Whoa. Very sad for his family. Seems he lives a pretty danged good life. So sorry it was cut short.
Count your blessings, enjoy your days, and be sure o where you're headed when this run is over.
Of course. If they didn't handicap the ZR1, it would be BAD.
I think we know by now to cut our losses with the current GTD and look forward to the 2.0.
You won't get an argument for me. Weight, brick shape, and an underpowered drivetrain are reasons I suggested it was going to get its butt kicked. and that's what happened. Once the ZR1 was a rumor, I knew it was coming and the inherent mid engine traction, aero, and power were going to be way...
Basically equivalent to watching reruns at this point. the ZR1 was always going to curbstomp the GTD with the power differential plus traction. called it well before either came out.
But if the GTD Competition got serious with 1000+ HP at the wheels, then I expect it to stomp the ZR1 at the...
Sounds like the a valve not moving in the guide properly. Or a Calvary contacting the piston. Something is not going well in there.
run a compression test on all cylinders.
mods?
Why this is most certainly true and portends a possible new round of extreme capability and competitiveness, thrre has been a paradigm shift.
the Americans now actually CARE about the Burburgring and handling in general. Where you had niche pockets of people until this in the past, it’s now...
I could almost get into it if they recessed the central grilles and straightened up the concave curve in the upper grille. No idea what they were thinking with those. The fog-area grille openings are great. But the central grilles and downscoping snout are just ugly. Still better than the NA DH...
