I want to do a subtle interior mod and replace the existig black belts with dark green. How complex will that be? Should I have a shop do this for me as safety is also a concern obviously?

As a daily commuter the Bullitt (with the Magneride esp.) is a better car. For track? Mach 1 wins.

I saw one just once going past me in an intersection... It looked so much better seeing it in real life that it pushed me to get one myself :P

Yeah, it's required by law to display a front license plat in BC :(
