Any automatic Focus with the 2.0 L is still using the garbage DCT. The automatic paired with the EB seems to be fine though, from the sounds of it.
That said, the Focus actually has decent sales numbers considering how well-known the transmission issues are. It will be interesting to see how...
While I do think that some people will be easily swayed into an Ecosport or an Escape, others will do their research online and avoid the Ford dealership altogether and go buy a Civic / Corolla / etc. instead. Then one day those people will want a bigger vehicle (growing family, etc.), and if...
Still depends on packaging, though. The main issue with the Camaro isn't the maximum price, it's that their base model is too expensive. If Ford is smart, they provide all these options but still keep the base more affordable.
Out of curiosity, I just checked a 1SS Camaro and a base GT on Canadian Black Book trade-in value, and they're basically the same value. This is pretty good for Mustang owners when you consider the gap in initial MSRP.
Only a few hundred cars difference per month, but proportionally the Canadian figures aren't even close.
Mustang (September): 523
Mustang (YTD): 6,820
Camaro (September): 234
Camaro (YTD): 2,014
The fog lights are the DRLs in Canada (they were on the previous generation, as well). They can also function as fog lights, though, with the button (think it's just a brighter setting for the bulb).
The signature lighting is still functional on the Canadian cars, but they aren't sufficient as...
It's already been said, but if you use a silicone lubricant (available through your dealer's parts department, though it can be found elsewhere as well) around the edges of the window, it won't freeze.
When I had my Mustang, the dealer recommended silicone lubricant. Spray it around the weather stripping (top and bottom of the window) and you shouldn't have any problems the rest of winter.
Keep in mind that the Coyote isn't a UAW built engine. Any indications of upgrades would likely come next year in the Unifor (formerly CAW) contract negotiations, assuming they aren't actually announced before then.
It still doesn't give the full global picture, but as far as I know the Mustang significantly outsells both the Camaro and the Challenger up here in Canada. Oddly enough, the Mustang is the only of the three not currently assembled up here (though the Camaro is heading back to Michigan and the...
I've been looking at MY17 as a potential year to upgrade, and if the 10-speed is in and grabber blue returns I will be in the dealer ASAP to order.
10-speed is probably a guarantee as others have mentioned, considering the F150 is getting it, but grabber blue would be a pretty awesome bonus.
I daily drive mine (it's a 2014, but I doubt your experience will be any different with a 2015) here in Windsor. I'm not sure if you remember the huge snowstorm we got on Superbowl Sunday, but I got to work no problem that Monday morning.
The Mustangs are more than capable in the snow...
This is certainly an area where GM is a lot less transparent than Ford. Ford's horsepower numbers for the Mustang specifically indicate 93-octane fuel where applicable. The ATS Coupe indicates that premium fuel is recommended but not required, but does not specify which fuel type was used for...
The way I see it, looks are subjective. I prefer the Mustang's exterior, but there are others who prefer the Camaro (and there's another group who would rank the Challenger number 1).
The early advantage performance wise seems to go to the Camaro SS over the Mustang GT, but this is to be...
I'd be curious if this is actually true. Considering the 4 has better hp/torque/MPG numbers, it makes sense to have them slotted the way they do. On the flip side, the Camaro's order also makes sense as their turbo 4 will only have 270 horsepower, well below their 6 (and anything in the...
It also looks like they haven't fixed the major visibility issues either, which means for my daily driving duties I'll be choosing a Mustang over the Camaro every time.
