I just disconnected mine too. As for the amp rack, you can always move the emergency kit...i have mine wedged next to the dual 12 sub enclosure. When you do that, it makes the amp rack install easier as you can use the hardware to bolt it down...
You need to take the bottom of the rear seat out, then the backs go down more. Slide the box in from the backseat...should be plenty of room doing it this way.
I just installed a Ford stage 2 CAI kit (CAI, TB, Tune) and I noticed that the inlet seals against the hood. Has anyone modified the hood vents for more flow?

On my 21 GT perf pack 6MT, I get about 20mpg from mixed and 25mpg highway. I do not go easy on my car, but I don't beat either. I always put in top-tier 93 gas.
