As always, your knowledge is greatly appreciated.
Putting 1300hp aside, we mere mortals running 700ish wheel look to be "OK" going wide open in 7th? Or would it just be a matter of time before it slips?
Hi all,
Last weekend I swapped my 3.55 diff for a 3.15, all went well, no issues.
I have zero vibration, drives great, however...
Coming to a stop braking <15mph I get 3-4 clicks from under the car that sounds midcar/front of the car about 70% of the time.
I can feel them through the brake...
Annoying, if I take off slow enough it'll go 1st to 2nd and it's a jolt, then 2nd to 3rd the same. Sometimes going into 7th under medium accel is a jolt too.
I have a 3.15 diff ready to go on in the hope that it'll smooth it out some and allow me to use any gear other than 6th WOT.
I had to go with a chiller, sitting in the lanes my iat's were 129f before I started the run, 165f after. Now the longer I sit in the lanes the cooler they get.
Honestly, this blower isn't the best, you'd be better off with a Whipple and a good heat exchanger
You may find it's raspy without cats. I put high flow lth on mine with the stock exhaust and an H pipe and it was awful, made me cringe when I got on it.
I went with a 3" steeda cat back and it sounds really deep, almost old school muscle car sounding. Ironically it has an pipe.
