I'm not sure how to accomplish it, but I really wish I could drive both PD and centrifugal with a manual. A. To see if I like it so much I have to have it regardless or risk. B. Which feels better to my preference.
Not sure who'd let me drive their car cause I know I wouldn't let someone...
So what I'm reading is I need to stick to my gut here and leave the boost alone if I want to continue my HPDE weekends in the future. Or risk uncle Rodney impersonating the kool-aid man with my block.
While I can financially support scattering this engine I very much do not want to. The car...
Yea this is the kind of comment that worries me. I absolutely do not want this risk. Understand there is always some inherent risk to adding boost. But I worry that adding boost is going to remove my ability to ever track my car again without doing some heavy engine work either before or...
Thanks for the reply, def not hoping it will make me better at hpde. More worried it will make the experience worse or even worse hurt the car while it's being abused on the track. It functions so well now I really don't want to spend all the time and money then find out I made it worse or...
'23 Mach 1, 6 speed. Car has been fantastic esp. after some suspension and tire changes. But I still have that want for that instant off idle torque. This makes me really want a root style super charger.
However, I really really worry that it's going to ruin this car in some way. I...
To answer my own question it doesn't appear that this is necessary, it's only needed if you get the DTC. But best I can understand that only happens if you modify the "as-built" data via hex, if you use the service procedure by entering the tire circumference that's not needed. Least it...
Do you still have to do the PCM relearn procedure? Seems like instructions are all over the place, I've been reading forums and watching youtube and the entire process still isn't clear.
I'm getting lost with this rear spoiler. I know that you can only buy it in gloss black. But what's the deal in the part number differences.
I see M-16600-FP listed commonly on like LMR, Steeda, etc., but most forums quote part KR3Z-6344210-AA, but also found JR3Z-6344210-AA. Which of...
I don't disagree, but it's what I want. If there was an aftermarket version with the exact same width and stance I'd go that route. Like the LMR version. But I want that front poke. There are other options with the same stance but I like the looks of the birds nest wheels. I've been all...
After a bunch of back and forth I've finally settled on what I'm going to do. I'll be ordering parts today hopefully. Thanks for all the feedback and builds here that's helped me a ton.
Parts-
OEM:
Ford HP Springs (should provide the best height with the bird nest wheels imo)
Ford HP bird...
Who's your local guy, I think you and I are pretty close, based on the shop that did your installs. I'd welcome an alignment shop that would understand camber plates, track alignments, etc.
Getting of topic a bit, but this is FAR from misinformation. Saying that changing a component of your suspension has zero effect would be closer to misinformation. I can guarantee from an engineering perspective if you change a variable in a system the resulting numbers will also change...
Wider wheel farther from the fulcrum could equal more leverage which might require a difference in alignment to compensate? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
If you think, if you had a wheel that had 20 feet of back spacing it'd def affect the suspensions zero and require some adjustment to compensate. That's an...
Oddly enough the alignment does look to be different between the HP and none HP, not sure if it's directly wheel related or not. Traditionally you wouldn't need an alignment for wheels and tires though. See reference thread below...
