I hear you. I only drive my base R from November through April. But those are some great months on the street. The car is very, very different than a loaded GT350. I love it, just not in August.

@Mikepol2 all the Mach 1s are nicely arranged in their own section in about 2 rows maybe 20 cars long ea... maybe. So I'd think the only "good spot" is an aisle/end spot and there are probably only 4 of those. You'll be fine regardless.

Even though the PCM disengages the Compressor, that AC belt and pulley is still spinning 24/7. Maybe the unit is just getting beat up at 8k+ regardless if the Compressor is engaged? 🤷‍♂️

The Mustang AE set up is unfortunately a little more fragile. Springs in plastic actuators. 🤷‍♂️

Here you go. The valves don't open all the way in Quiet mode even at WOT.... and that's Borla.

I'm referring to the OEM set up. Not that familiar with the borla style. The OEM doesn't open via computer at WOT. It opens via selection on toggle or steeringwheel. Maybe it's forced open a bit from added exhaust pressure, but that puts stress on the actuators, increases back pressure, and...

Do not go WOT in quiet mode. Problems.

Have these tips ever gotten really black or have you kept them like this? Mine are black as F and a regular wash isn't cleaning them. What's the secret sauce to make it easy? Your car looks great BTW. 👍

Everything looks good on the showroom floor. Don't let the bright lights fool you. The DH is a great car, but your R is where it's at. Drive a DH and when you get back in your R, you'll be cured.

Maybe they will have a better solution for the active exhaust harness rubbing and the clunk a lot of us get in the steering linkage on hard slow turns after some wear. Other than tranny lines and AE, the GT500 has been pretty stalwart. Looking forward to seeing more details on the SC.
