  1. I custom built a dash cam and radar mount for the headliner

Wow, that is a fantastic job, even your crimps are spot on, so many people get that little detail wrong. I'm also happy that you drive a real Mustang, manual. In our nanny country, Australia, speed cameras are banned full stop. I really like what you have done, and you should be very, very...
  2. S650 Rear belly pan on an S550

The Mach 1 pan resembles the GT500 bumper, and is also very similar to the MP Concepts bumper. Where can I get the pan in Australia? Or can I order one at a reasonable price from the states? Had tried a couple of years ago and couldn't find one, or anyone willing to ship to OZ.
  3. HELP Dreaded spanner and "Limp Mode" on country runs? AirAid CAI, X Pipe resonator delete.

Fun Funny you should ask, absolutely no idea. Just arrived home from a 300k round trip, a very similar scenario to my last one, and it ran without a problem. So it has gone or will pop up when I least expect it.
  4. Is battery trim cover worth the 100$?

I have a connector for a trickle charger attached to the +&- terminals, and the connector is just outside of the battery cover. Makes life easier.
  5. Is battery trim cover worth the 100$?

OCD is a pain isn't it! We only have 3 of the retainers on RHD models, and they didn't fit from new. Lost one somewhere on the undertray and purchased 3 new ones from Ford and received the cheap hard plastic crappy ones. Like you my OCD stops me from changing to something more suitable.
  6. Tires wear issues help?

Yes, I am aware of the Tesla pressures, your memory is correct, it is to decrease rolling resistance. In my experience they ride like a steel wheeled buggy. They also run on the maximum allowable rim widths to stretch the tyre out to compensate for the increased pressure. If you look at the...
  7. Tires wear issues help?

Apologies if I misread your post, it certainly appeared that way. You were quoting from TonyT930 who was having a dig at me. So who was cringe worthy?
  8. Tires wear issues help?

No I don't, you obviously didn't read what I said, possibly too much for you. You start with a lower pressure on track days as you are going to put the tyres under more stress than street use. They will increase in pressure within a few laps up to the correct range for track work 34 -36. If you...
  9. Tires wear issues help?

I will try not to be rude, but I have never heard anything so ridiculous. And any wonder why "I know it's not popular on this site with other members" It would not be popular on any site with intelligent members. You are so wrong! Now you have got me started. Remeber I am trying very hard not to...
  10. Tires wear issues help?

36 is too high, strange that the alignment shop didn't set them correctly, first thing that should be checked and set. Did they mention anything about the shocks? I have heard of Sonoma but have never seen it? I haven't even driven it on the sim, so I don't know what it's like. Had a look at the...
  11. Tires wear issues help?

35-36 psi is too high when set at cold as it should be. 32 is the correct pressure; check the sticker inside your door opening; it is right. Starting at 36psi, you will quickly be over 40 and up, causing centre wear. It's not tyre pressure causing that wear pattern. Do you track the car often?
  12. HELP Dreaded spanner and "Limp Mode" on country runs? AirAid CAI, X Pipe resonator delete.

Thanks, I will look into the TB; it might explain why I'm not getting any DTCs.
  13. Tires wear issues help?

Used to be in the tyre industry, specialising in alignment. My question for you is, do you do a lot more hard left hand turns than right? This was a common problem on taxi's or cabs as you call them. Especially with that scrabbling on the upper edge of the sidewall. In OZ it was the front...
  14. Pedestrian Protection System activating without hitting anything.

Thanks, yes, they said the module was full and could not be reset. I thought it was odd that one relatively small amount of data from the PPS would fill the module. I spoke to several Ford dealers, and they all said that it is normal for the module to be replaced after any airbag or part of the...
  15. HELP Dreaded spanner and "Limp Mode" on country runs? AirAid CAI, X Pipe resonator delete.

My tool does read O2 sensor, etc. DTc's when they occur, so at the moment I am stumped. If no one has an answer, I may lash out on a different one. It is so random yet specific that it is weird.
  16. HELP Dreaded spanner and "Limp Mode" on country runs? AirAid CAI, X Pipe resonator delete.

Hi I did have an OBD scanner with me, and plugged it in and there were no codes showing.
  17. HELP Dreaded spanner and "Limp Mode" on country runs? AirAid CAI, X Pipe resonator delete.

Have been getting the spanner flash up, and then she goes into Limp Mode only on country or long freeway runs. No modes available, everything going crazy, 4000RPM max, yet can still cruise along at a reasonable speed, which I have had to do a few times as I was on major freeways. When safe to...
  18. Pedestrian Protection System activating without hitting anything.

Sorry about the late reply; I have now had it all repaired, painted and striped again! Also had everything checked by the panel shop, and the Ford dealer where I purchased the car new. There were no problems with any of the sensors or radar alignment etc. Ford Australia knocked back any claims...
  19. Pedestrian Protection System activating without hitting anything.

I'd be happy if it was a pedestrian........ Well maybe nah.
