I want to second as I was not even aware Ford has been doing this!!
I will be making the request and I urge all the other owners of this special car of ours to do the same!
OP if you are still out there could you chime in to ask our members to do the same?
You may want to check out another tread here. High Performance Ecoboost Registry. A bunch of us have contributed and the OP has compiled some numbers. Note it is not all inclusive or from Ford. My back of the napkin thinks there may have been somewhere around 5700 (plus or minus) HPPs built over...
GREAT video on our cars from the guys that designed it! I love mine, now almost six years in.
Very interested in the HPP successor 2026 Ecoboost RTR. Very similar formula and if Ford Racing is providing the rumoured 350/400 tune I'm probably going to be a buyer.
Trans has never been serviced. I expect to do that at the 100k mark. This car has been drop dead reliable since new. I have maintained it and it's always been garaged.
Same here. I now have 85k on this car and no complaints with the transmission. I will say that very early on the operation could be clunky and sometimes abrupt but after around 10k miles it was great. I think another factor was one driver, operating the car consistently. It's really interesting...
I'm on my second set of Michelin PS AS4 tires and they are great all around. I've had them on the last two winters here in MA even in some snow. My dedicated winter wheels and tires are in the garage for now.
While we both have Mustangs they are quite different in my opinion.
My reference to Track mode in the post was about the operation of the transmission. While I, like you generally drive around in Sport + I find it to be firm shifting, jerky at times depending on throttle application. Downshifts...
Wow, I have been reviewing this thread and your post is the first that mirrors my experience with this transmission. 3-4, yeah in Sport + early days. I agree that the learning process is overly long and if multiple drivers may impact that?? Not my case. 77 k now and it's great. In my car Track...
Didn't know Borla has come out with an exhaust kit for our cars. Thanks!
Your video gives static sound with the vehicle stopped. The ecoboost just doesn't sound great that way, regardless of mode (my opinion). What I would really want to hear is the car on the road In different drive modes at...
We have to look at the PP1 bracing. It's pretty much the basis for all front end suspension stiffing Ford has done on these cars, including my Ecoboost HPP.
Three pieces: upper and lower "k" braces. Ties the cowl to the shock towers on top, ties the subframe each side together on the bottom...
I have ppf on the front of the car. If polishing here means machine, i would not recommend. My experience, and my car is xpel is it's fine to use paint cleaner and sealer (my choice) or wax hand applied. I happen to use Pinnacle Brilliance products and have great had great results!
I do the same. After doing my regular wash job I drive around my area applying the brakes to dry them. Has worked for years. Worst thing is to leave them wet and rusting, in my opinion. I don't know about other chemicals to spray on to help the process as I have never used them.
I replaced my OEM rotors and pads on my Ecoboost HPP/ handling pack car at 39k with a Dynamic Friction Geospec 5000 kit from Rock Auto. These are ceramic pads, and the rotors are specially painted to resist rusting. The rotors are also ready to bolt on without any cleaning. Not
the cheapest...
Has made a difference sound wise. Bang for the buck understanding it's limitations. Since I never moved forward with wheel well or rear underseat sound deading I don't know how it might all have worked together.
No issues for me from a durability perspective.
Quality product, recommended.
Great advice!! Totally second it. I'm now running UHP AS4s as summers since replacing the worn out PS4S last spring. Cares for the "gray area" here in the Boston area, particularly in the fall. No more temp anxiety! For a regular street driven car I don't feel you give up much performance vs the...
I have direct experience with the PS4S.
Like others here I heed the manufacturer warnings and have a separate set of winter wheels and tires I swap to since this is my DD. Since this is the case I have never had cracking issues. I have driven them in near freezing temps and like any tire in this...
Agreed, the Pirellis are bad. I do the summer/winter swap too. My Corsa4s lasted about 12k, replaced with Michelin PS4S..huge difference BUT still a summer only tire. I put them back on in the spring but they were pretty worn. Like you I went with AS. Michelin PSAS4. Love them! When did Ford...
