We had 60's in Colorado last week so Thursday I brought the Mach 1 down and took it for a 3 hour drive before I put it back to bed. Saturday it snowed.

The biggest difference you can make is buying dedicated snow / Blizzak style snow tires. They're expensive, but not as much as wadding up your car. Game changers.

My buddy had a 240i last year and he sold it for the reasons you described OP: Does everything brilliantly and boring as milk toast. No drama, no sweet engine noise, no excitement.
