I'm eventually going to try to get surgery to fix my arm. But I just can't afford it right now, since it'll 100% lay me off of work for over a year. Where I dislocated my 2 ribs from my spine, a lump of scar tissue healed around the joints. The lung is behind my shoulder blade. And when I move...
I regret the auto now. But i would have regretted a manual just as much. I have issues with my legs and lower back from being ran over by a minivan as a teenager, so too much shifting of a manual transmission shortens my driving time. Going long distances on the free way when I don't have to...
It's a 10 speed auto. It doesn't have a tremec, and I can't control it going from 3 to 1, it ALWAYS skips 2nd gear. 2nd gear virtually doesn't exist. I can only get it in 2nd gear coasting down a slight incline from a stop. I have had a couple mustang enthusiasts drive my car. All 3 guys said...
My dealership is out of rentals, and liad about the reimbursement. So I actually called corporate and corporate told me they have to reimburse me 45$ a day towards a rental. But the rental HAS to be a Ford for reimbursement. But of thr 8 rental places I checked, all where out of a Ford. Except...
Hi
Sorry, maybe I communicated something wrong? I decided to sell the car. I haven't sold it yet though. I just made the decision to sell it. It's STILL in the shop. That's why I typed it in past tense, because I had already made the decision before making the post.
As soon as it's out of the...
I've seen local dealers post and sell non-handling package mach 1s with 12-15k miles at 52-53k and they sold. That's why I figured I should atleast be getting 48k from the dealer. I know they have to clean, maintenance, pay ad revenue, but I think they'd still sell it for 56k
Considering the...
Update. I've decided to sell the car. I was taking it to dealerships for appraisals. Most dealerships were offering me 42k for my 2021 mach 1. It's fully loaded with a 63495$ windows sticker and less than 10k miles. Pretty fat loss on my end I guess. Virtually a brand new car. But I had it put...
I really can't define the drop. And that is my own fault and a regret I have. I should have pressed them for more information about it. I never asked how high it was dropped from, or anything. A really stupid move on my part, but at the time I was overwhelmed with too much stuff and I just...
Hey guys sorry I haven't been responding. I just finished moving and now I'm about to go on a little vacation foe my 1 year anniversary with the old lady. I'll be on Thursday to respond more. I'm at work right now and might reply to a few more responses in my next break. Thank you for the help...
I've tried recording it. It's hard to hear over the exhaust. Even on quiet mode, because the rattle only happens in the higher RPM range. I feel like I'd have to have someone sitting on the hood while I drive to try to record it. And it doesn't ALWAYS do it, which frustrates the shit out of me...
I can't lie. I wish I was more of a self handyman than I am. But I'm not. But I've learned so much about not trusting dealers after this whole ordeal. And I definitely need to find a mechanic I trust. And you're right about one thing. I'm pretty sure my car will never be the same again.
I can go on a real good drive, but it won't matter much. It wouldn't be the first one I've done. I do need to do the first recommendation and take it to an outside network to check the fluid levels.
My car would still do it even on a nice summer day after being driven for a few hours. There was never a time it wouldn't do it. Except for after the new transmission. But now it's come back since its had this whine that the dealership likes to call "a normal operating noise."
Tbh you're right. I think there is no happy ending with keeping this car at this point. And sadly, as much as I've always loved mustangs. Idk if I could even buy another one after this whole experience. It breaks my heart to say that.
Thank you everyone for the advice and responses. I'm sure there will be more for me to read later, but I gotta head to work, and i won't be back on here until tomorrow.
Sadly I did that, and they said the noises are normal. And the rattle is normal. And I'm just at a loss of words.
I forgot to mention in the OP, the rattle almost makes it seem like the car is vibrating as well as making the rattle sound. It only does it under moderate to heavy acceleration...
Tbh, as this is my first new car, and my first car with a warranty, and me knowing nothing about warranties, I didn't know if going to a local mechanic would void any of my warranties. Not that it matters at this point, I just want my car to be in good health and it obviously isn't happening...
