  1. How does Ford manage to get the oil temp up so quickly?

That's not actually the case. The GT350 has an air/oil cooler. The oil is cooled by air - not coolant. Furthermore, there is a thermostat in the oil filter adapter that prevents oil from flowing through the oil cooler until it reaches a certain temperature. So oil bypasses the cooler until...
  2. GT350 Cartridge Oil Filter Adapter Kit

Not really. It is harder than you think. The next time you have good access to a filter, hand tighten it as much as you can. Then put a torque wrench on it and check and see how close you come. I'd be impressed if you got halfway there. I say this from experience. If you think about it, 18...
  3. GT350 DIY Oil Change - Canister Oil Filter

Both are correct. The "Cartridge" is the filter element. The "Canister" is the plastic housing that encloses the filter.
  4. GT350 H5486

For the record, the 5.2 does NOT generate less torque under 3k RPM than the 5.0. It is about the same to 3000 RPM as the 5.0, then takes off. You'll see that, and the supporting data, in other discussions on this forum.
  5. Jefc73's GT350R/HR828

Mine is 889, built 9/7. So it looks like they've built ~60 of them in just over two weeks.
  6. GT350 vs GT350R Lap Times

Dude, you're the one that should be giving up. You're getting slaughtered in this debate - but you seem oblivious to that fact.
  7. Ford oil catch cans

Tells you that you haven't driven the car hard.
  8. 600 hp 5.2 voodoo

They don't look equal length to me.
  9. 600 hp 5.2 voodoo

The 5.0L and 5.2L aren't made in the same factory, so that doesn't make sense.
  10. Hennessey 2016 Shelby GT350 HPE800 Supercharged Upgrade

Good point. The exterior shots are a white car. The underhood photo is not from a white car.
  11. Base GT350 Review

No, I wasn't confusing them. I was clarifying that I think the OP was changing drive modes instead of steering effort. Appears from the picture he posted that his steering wheel does in fact have Drive Mode buttons, despite what the ordering guide might say.
  12. Base GT350 Review

More likely he is changing drive mode and assuming it is changing MR dampers. The Base model still has drive modes. On all other versions, the drive mode changes magnaride dampers, steering feel, exhaust valve, TC/SC level of intervention, and I believe I read somewhere it also affects...
  13. 93 octane requirement in 91 octane state

Can you provide data to back up this statement? Of course you can't. Because it is not true. How do I know - I have first hand knowledge. Do you even know what "hard parts" are required? I don't need to research this. Again, I have first hand knowledge. I realize I am offering no...
  14. 93 octane requirement in 91 octane state

You accuse me of buying into propaganda, but your counter evidence comes from a company selling E85 conversion kits. Talk about propaganda! I have not bought into propaganda. My information comes from actual experience. Car companies do put premium material valve seats in engines...
  15. 93 octane requirement in 91 octane state

What do you define as zero issues? If you're not concerned about your valve seats wearing excessively, then I guess you have no issues. There is damage occurring inside your engine. I guarantee it. Will you notice the effects in 10k miles. No. Will you eventually. Yes. If you're...
  16. 93 octane requirement in 91 octane state

You really shouldn't spread mis-information about something you clearly don't know about - especially when it's going to put other people's engines at risk. Flex Fuel engines do have special parts to deal with the E85. It can hurt your engine, regardless of tune, if your engine doesn't have...
  17. engine oil temp observation - 2016 tech pack car

There is no "sandwich cooler" on the car for engine oil - just the air-oil cooler under the lower driver side grill.
  18. engine oil temp observation - 2016 tech pack car

It's an air to oil cooler, not water to oil. Warmup is good because there is an oil thermostat that prevents flow through the cooler until the oil is warmed up. It's just like the 5.8L engines in the GT500s with the Track Pack remote cooler.
  19. GT350R at Road & Track Performance Car of the Year (Updated: Winner!)

I didn't see anywhere in the article where they said they had problems with the GT350R or not being able to handle hard driving at the track. They just said they saw some "scary temperatures" on the display. Sounds like an opinion and worry, not a problem.
  20. engine oil temp observation - 2016 tech pack car

I have nothing to offer in the way of proof. But you will find that it is true. Perhaps arsenalrocks will check his car and report back - confirming what I'm telling you.
