I've had a '02 GT, '03 Cobra and now a '22 GT. All were/are manuals. Just what I enjoy.
I remember many years ago, a guy saw my Viper at an event and asked if an automatic was available. I told him they weren't...and he replied that he'd just have to get a Prowler. Prowler's great... but not...
I have a gen 1.5 & 2 Viper. The front plate brackets look terrible and screw through the bumper like our Mustangs. Back in the day.....guys in states with front plate requirements would have their dealer write up an order form that said the plate bracket was on back order. They just kept it in...
I'm still chasing that "C" pillar rattle.
It was mentioned above, about bad welds. My former 2003 cobra had a funny creek when I would release the clutch. It seemed the body had some kind of flex. A friend of mine rode around in the trunk until we found it. We wound up hammering a penny between...
Yes, Ford sells a jumper wire...it's something like $70!! I bought the crimp connectors and plastic "plug" from a third party. I can look at it tomorrow as it's in the garage. But...If it cost me $5...that's all it was. I have wire in-house. The actual light/housing I got at the local dealer...
I'm about to do the same. Got the light at the dealer...ordered the connector to make a harness from an on-line source. (It's all in the garage....but a search on my name should get it for ya)
Mine is a '22 GT fastback, and I don;t think the wiring is there, going to use a fuse tap for a "key...
The lead tech at my dealership suggested to keep the keys further from the car as the key and car will talk, running down the battery. My '22 GT makes all kinds of noises when parked in the garage with the keys nearby. Or, lock the car. When mine sits, like now with salt on the roads...I put it...
Well, here's a counterpoint...
My other daily other than the GT is a 2016 Ford Police Interceptor Utility. It's tough to find a nice one...but I searched and did. Mine has the 3.7l. Drives and handles very well...just a great vehicle overall. I'd buy another tomorrow if something happened tom mine.
Interesting. I wonder what they will demand as a tow vehicle. I rented a small, enclosed trailer from them a number of years ago. The geniuses at the U-Haul shop argued that my tow vehicle wasn't recommended. It's a V10 Ford Excursion.
Installing a glove box light in my '22, and hoping for ideas on a good "key on" circuit to tap for power.
I'm not as familiar with the Mustang panel as other vehicles.
Is there a powered "spare" circuit? Glad for thoughts on which circuit to use....thanks in advance!
I was heavy into H:O slots years ago. Still have a bunch of track, cars, etc. A couple week ago, a friend and I attended a somewhat local slot/die cast/RC show. Saw the Mustang set listed in the link below. Very cool...
I just went through this...I used Mobil One oil in both the GT and my 2000 Viper GTS.
I used to use the M1 filters in the Viper, but recently did some homework. Seems that the current versions of the Mobil One filters aren't what the old ones were. Seems that the version that end in "A" are...
This. I avoid updates like the plague. If it's all working....I leave it alone. I rarely look at the FordPass app anymore. For better or worse...this latest recall isn't in the app.
I have had a BendPak HD9 for over a decade. It's been helpful for work and being able to double park. I bought the wider version. But...pulling wheels, etc isn't as easy as it might be.
So, I also got a mid-rise a number of years ago from Greg Smith. Myself and a friend each bought one and...
