  1. Steering Wheel Shimmy 45mph-65mph (most obvious around 55mph)

When you get your front end checked out, I’m interested in what they find. I’ll let you know when I get a chance to check mine out, and let you know if I find anything.
  2. Steering Wheel Shimmy 45mph-65mph (most obvious around 55mph)

That's really unfortunate, I'm sorry to hear that your car is still giving you trouble after all that money you've ended up putting into it. Something else I have been meaning to check is if my front hubs have any runout/ have excessive bearing noise. Front hub assemblies seem to be reasonable...
  3. Steering Wheel Shimmy 45mph-65mph (most obvious around 55mph)

My apologies, things have been a little hectic. Yes, I was able to install my new OEM driveline. No, my shimmy isn’t gone. However, the shimmy has reduced in severity. I’m still at a loss. Something I planned on upgrading was my front lower control arms. I’d like to pickup a set of OEM...
  4. Too much carrier bearing movement

I just installed my new OEM driveline. I am happy to say that my 35mph vibrations is gone. I will likely upgrade to a one piece driveline at some point. I am a little disappointed that I started having issues with my factory driveline after only 29,000 miles, especially since my driving style is...
  5. Too much carrier bearing movement

I just ordered a new driveline through my local ford dealer. I’ll see how it drives after I swap out my old one.
  6. Steering Wheel Shimmy 45mph-65mph (most obvious around 55mph)

I just ordered a new driveline from my local ford dealer. I’ll see what happens when I’m able to swap my old one out.
  7. Steering Wheel Shimmy 45mph-65mph (most obvious around 55mph)

Something I noticed when I took the video of my driveline was that while the car was up on the lift, and while I had my co-worker bring my car up to 70mph, I put my hands on the front tires (at 3 and 9 o’clock) and I could feel the front tires shaking in the air. I’m thinking that the resonance...
  8. Steering Wheel Shimmy 45mph-65mph (most obvious around 55mph)

This is a video of my driveline @ 35mph. If you zoom in on the carrier, you can see it moving around quite a bit.
  9. Steering Wheel Shimmy 45mph-65mph (most obvious around 55mph)

My driveline had this harmonic around 35mph that makes it visibly shake around. I also have a vibration at 35mph, which now makes sense.
  10. Steering Wheel Shimmy 45mph-65mph (most obvious around 55mph)

This is exactly where I’m at. I’ll be calling for prices on a driveline and hopefully swapping it out in the next few weeks. I har the opportunity to crawl under my car and noticed my U Joint closest to the carrier is starting to fling grease. There is a 360 degree witness mark of grease that’s...
  11. Too much carrier bearing movement

Looks like there is a small amount of grease starting to seep from my U Joint near the Carrier. The U Joint felt tight, but I’m guessing that if a non-serviceable U Joint starts to seep grease, that it’s ready to be replaced.
  12. Steeda aluminum driveshaft for 2018+ 6 speed manual transmission

If I can save the money, I’ll likely go this route. This is one of those projects that I only want to do once and (hopefully) never think about again. Thank you for your input!
  13. Steeda aluminum driveshaft for 2018+ 6 speed manual transmission

There is a lot of great information here. I am curious if you guys would re-purchase the same driveline if you had to do it again, or if you would go a different route. I am currently battling a vibration, which I believe is my driveline. I am looking at getting a one piece driveline to...
  14. Too much carrier bearing movement

I couldn’t agree with you more regarding the front end. I’ve read through most of the 300 page forum about the 50mph-70mph shimmy plaguing the earlier S550 mustangs. A few guys had reported a steering wheel shimmy while experiencing driveline issues. I also agree that the rubber surrounding the...
  15. Too much carrier bearing movement

I’m currently running a square setup, and have rotated my tires front to back with no improvement. I re-installed my factory wheels and tires with no improvement either. I recently performed an alignment, everything is tight in my front end. I’ve got approximately 29,000 miles on my car. That’s...
  16. Too much carrier bearing movement

At 35mph, I can hear bearing noise. I also feel a vibration in the e-brake handle, since I regularly rest my hand there. I recently noticed my rear view mirror shaking/ blurry at 75mph. Objectively, this part is pretty minor. Also my steering wheel has a shimmy at freeway speeds. I finally...
  17. Too much carrier bearing movement

I just noticed some grease splatter from the video I posted. It makes me wonder if my U Joint is going bad. I’ll have to inspect it a little more thoroughly next time my car is up in the air.
  18. Too much carrier bearing movement

Hopefully that fixes your issue! These minor problems are such an annoyance. I wish I could just live with it. That would be so much easier šŸ˜‚
  19. Too much carrier bearing movement

Luke, Are you currently experiencing any vibrations on your car?
