Perhaps so but that is irrelevant to my post and doesnāt change the facts one iota.
Whether or not anyone cares is a whole different discussion and probably not worth having. Actually Iām sure it isnāt!
Yes you are missing one very important thing. You canāt actually āturn it into one.ā
You can change out every single part and calibration you want, and make it functionally identical but if the VIN and/or Fordās records donāt identify the car as a HP car, it isnāt āoneā and will never be one...
Can anybody compare the difficulty factor getting in and out of a C8 Z06 vs a HP Dark Horse?
You can just kinda fall in and I can still get out of the DH fairly well, even with Recaros.
Beautiful car! I had a ā22 pretty close to yourās twin.
You know, when I first looked at your pics I could almost smell N. Ga. It just jumped out at me. Then I looked over at your sig and sure enough! Iām just a hog for this corner of the world I guess.
Yeah youāre sure right; I hadnāt noticed that in the pic I surfed up.
I always floored mine with concrete. Or as we call it here in GA and N. FL, ce-ment.
Pictureās worth a thousand words. These things are a staple of southern culture. I used to take a lawn chair and iPad and go sit under mine just for enjoyment. This one is actually a Cadillac model. Maybe more of a Benz comparison.
My unfortunate pole barn experience is that birds and tree rats will still roost on and foul your car from the bottom truss cross-support if you donāt plank the āceilingā to prevent it. Donāt ask me how I know but it involves de-pooping fiberglass boats between fishing trips to Florida.
I wasnāt aware there was a beef. If folks want it, get it. Otherwise donāt. Seems simple.
I will say though if you pay for it then it should actually be present on the car and documented as such from the factory.
A ā69 Camaro and a modern Mustang are different cars to be sure, but the principle is 100% the same.
Manheim is a useful tool but it is typically geared toward cars that are sold in larger quantities in the broader market. I donāt care enough to look so donāt bother with a researched gotcha...
Iām sorry but itās either on the window sticker or itās not. Period. And KBB notwithstanding if it really made no difference the HP option would be free if you wanted it.
Iāve had them both and Iām by far no elitist. But I am a 40+ year retired dealer and I understand exactly how the market...
No, it isnāt. Not even close. Even if you could somehow duplicate every single item of difference and all the calibrations, it still wouldnāt be. Might function the same but it still either is or isnāt, and it isnāt.
Try telling it to the used car manager appraising the car when you go to trade...
Two things you can pretty much count on about domestic new cars:
It is expected that technology will increase every year, and they never get cheaper without some type of decontenting.
I doubt this will ever change.
Hwy 60 west of Dahlonega in the Suches area?
Thanks for posting the video. I live in the area and these are my haunts. Pure joy is the only way to describe it!
Oh come on.
Youāre not serious are you?
One hand always greases the other, thatās how life works. But your implication seems to be that Ford wrote him a check in return for a favorable review. This guy isnāt gonna blow his cred like that and negate his serious chops. And neither is Ford.
Which problems were those, specifically?
I had and have several 20-23s, both GTs and Mach 1 A10s and donāt remember a pervasive or characteristic problem.
