For my '21 GT, I find the tick comes on after every full synthetic oil change. It's intermittent but usually goes away after like a few weeks of driving

I have a '21 GT Base manual with 301A and love it. I'd say go for that.

I've had this happen to my '08 V6. Luckily the car was parked when it fell apart, and had to get her towed to the dealership the next day and ended up getting the entire pedal assembly replaced under warranty.
