Man, I genuinely appreciate your skill and determination in getting this project completed. You are doing an amazing job both working on the car as well as documenting everything. I really think you would have been happier with the Hellion Street Sleeper kit. It's capable of 1000+hp without...
It will do that easily without coolant running through the wastegates. To me, it's just another chance at having a leak. I wouldn't do it unless I had a car I was road racing.
Don't take this as negative, but it seems you over engineer and make everything more complicated than it needs to be...
Take a look at these pictures and you'll see just how much more piping there is on the top mount kits...

Don't get me wrong, I'm exaggerating some, but they do have backpressure and valve float issues sooner than the lowmount kits. There is a lot more piping and bends with the high mount kit, I think the downpipes are also significantly more restrictive. They had to make the packaging work in a...
If your goal is low boost and looking cool at car shows, the top mount is fine. There are significant back pressure issues with the top mount kit which is why you will see more sleeper kits. The sleeper kit also keeps that crazy heat out of the engine bay and down where the cats were, where it's...
I think your making a big mistake going with a big single on a stick car. You seem to like going against conventional wisdom and doing your own thing which is great. I just hope your not disappointed after spending another $15k.
Go with a Hellion or Aldo Welds twin turbo low mount kit. It all fits and works. Single turbo on these small motors is not a great idea unless it's an all out race car with a loose convertor.
I would fit everything first before getting it coated. If you have to modify anything you want to do it before coating. Not everything fits the first time...
I have the Hellion Sleeper setup. My car is driven less than 5,000 miles/year, so I don't have to get emissions done in PA. So, I never looked into it. I have never had a check engine light come on, although I'm not sure if that means anything.
Where are you coming up with these arbitrary number of days? Starting a car and running it for 15 minutes isn't helping anything. I understand if your worried about a car sitting with E85 in it (I've never had an issue), but the car can certainly sit in a garage with 93 octane for a few months...
I'm just surprised, not knocking you.
I feel dumb. I just went in the garage and looked at my 2016. I also have a CD player. I thought they were long gone!
