  1. Report: Next gen S650 Mustang will have full 8 year life cycle

If they could take it back to 3400 lb, thatd be great LOL The CD6 platform if not mistaken. I think that platform includes 2.3, 3.3 hybrid v6, 3.0 v6. All making a 380 -415 lb-ft, and 365 -400 hp. Still not bad.
  2. Report: Next gen S650 Mustang will have full 8 year life cycle

If they do end up putting the 3.5TT, I wonder how many ppl would chose it over the 2.3 or GT. Id like to know the price. I just hope, regardless of the engine, that they DONT keep adding more weight. I was hoping they would just replace the 2.3T with at least the 2.7TT, which also makes some...
  3. Report: Next gen S650 Mustang will have full 8 year life cycle

I get the "speculation" part but it was released May 2020, so idk where you got "form half a year ago". NovaGT pointed out that it was not a Ford source, that of which I was not aware of. MY BAD. I wasnt trying to upset anyone. Just talk about some potential....thats all...
  4. Report: Next gen S650 Mustang will have full 8 year life cycle

I hope they dont keep ADDING weight. The electric AWD , though, it will be hefty.
  5. Report: Next gen S650 Mustang will have full 8 year life cycle

Thanks for pointing that out. I did not notice. But lets just play a game here lol out of pure curiosity How would that affect the line up? If at all. Given they keep the line up at 2.3t, 3.5tt, 5.0, what would be the price range of the 3.5tt, would the 5.0 go up? or would both be about the...
  6. Report: Next gen S650 Mustang will have full 8 year life cycle

I JUST came across this site from Ford: https://fordauthority.com/fmc/ford/ford-mustang/2023-ford-mustang/ 2023 Mustang Powertrain The 2023 Mustang is expected to be powered by the following powertrain choices: At least two Ford EcoBoost engines, potentially being: 2.3L EcoBoost I4 3.5L...
  7. HPP dyno

I couldnt find the dynos from speed factory https://www.speedfactoryracing.net/mustang-ecoboost-dyno-data https://www.ranger5g.com/forum/threads/dynod-power-difference-between-regular-gas-87-octane-and-premium-gas-92-octane.1208/ 275 hp for a 2016 on 92 octane.
  8. HPP dyno

https://www.cobbtuning.com/maps/2020-ford-mustang-ecoboost-hpp-stage-1-map looks like peak TQ at 330 ish and peak HP at 280 ish.... isnt that similar to a non HPP , at least in terms of HP? Ive seen I few '15-17 dyno with peak HP at 275 - 280. Im NO dyno reader expert (obviously), why does it...
  9. V8 owners, what's you best gas mileage record?

isnt a GT's estimated MPG: 16 city 25 hwy. For a combined of 20 mpg? In my EB Im getting 20-21, with an avg of 24 - 25 mpg. Im not doing hwy driving anymore.... I dont understand why 18 city would be bad for a GT.... Do you city drive a lot? short trips/ long trips? Long idles? How much "FUN"...
  10. european stang ecoboost

Hello! I dont own a newer EB mustang but Ill give you some input, anyway :) The US spec EB makes its rated HP and TQ only on 93 octane, any lower and it makes about 275 hp and 300 lb/ft. Now, I have ALWAYS pumped 93 octane in mine and feels plenty fast, IMO. If you want a RACE car, that is...
  11. Fuel Economy Improvement with Engine Tune on 2.3 Turbo?

I hope you know that the 310 CHP and 320 lb/ft are only achieved with 93 octane, on 87 youre making about 275 - 280 CHP and 300 lb/ft..
  12. Fuel Economy Improvement with Engine Tune on 2.3 Turbo?

So if youre scared of engine failures due to tuning, stick to stock ECU and pump 93 octane. Just doing that will increase the performance...i dont understand why youd only pump 93 if you tune it.
  13. Fuel Economy Improvement with Engine Tune on 2.3 Turbo?

I think you were the one asking about tuning in the EB thread. You mentioned that you were using 87 octane and would prefer to keep it that way. You mention maximize performance , well first of all 87 is your problem not only for performance but for MPG as well. I think there are some ppl here...
  14. Bought a 2017 GT with only 4k miles on it without seeing it in person: Priorities/Concerns?

Just out of curiosity I checked KBB, $27800 - $31,230, with $29, 500 being avg. I would have tried to negotiate that down to the lower range , at least $28, 500, especially since you have not test driven it. However, if not mistaken, that is how carvana works, right? meaning "take it as it is"...
  15. HiPo 2.3L

HiPo or not, just make sure you fill her up with 93 octane, or 91 if that's the best in your area. Since you just picked her up this weekend youre gonna have to wait a few hundred miles either way. But starting NOW with the higher octane is best. Once broken in, with consistent use of 91/93...
  16. Advice on Tuning a 2016 Ecoboost Mustang

installing an intercooler (IC) does not require running premium fuel. An IC just helps keep your IAT's from getting high in hot temps or idling for a prolonged period of time (or both)...keeping temps low = less decrease in power. If youve ever taken a look at your IAT's in the center gauge ...
  17. Ecoboost vs. 2010 - 2013 Camaro SS

It should. If not mistaken, the 1/4 for a 5th gen SS ranges between 12.6 -- 13.2 sec @ 110 - 112 mph with the LS3 manual, and 12.8 - 13.4 sec @ 109 -105 mph for the L99 auto. So a stock EB could keep up with a stock 5th gen SS but in the higher speeds, the SS SHOULD pull...
  18. Ecoboost High Performance Pkg 0-60 actual

Yes, completely agree that 0-60 isnt everything. Its about the driving experience so as long as you get some smiles as soon as you drive her, ITS ALL GOOD!
  19. Ecoboost High Performance Pkg 0-60 actual

I do wonder why some EB's vary so much in performance. Like, for example, the manual PP is supposed to actually be SLOWER in the 0-60 than its auto PP or non PP auto or manual... Like you, I've read of some unable to break into the sub 6, yet some, like me, have no problem. Weird. :inspect:
  20. Ecoboost HPP versus Altima VC Turbo

Agreed. Those Kia Forte GT's which go for around 22 - 24 grand is not a bad choice for a quick-ish compact, unlike the Si, it comes with a 7 speed duel clutch and actually is lighter at around 2750 lbs (depending on options might go up a tad). Tuning potential with a lighter body....not too...
