2018 PP1 MT, daily driver with 57k miles on the clock. Bought it at 13k. Only issue that wasn't self-inflicted is a failed throttle body (was getting up to speed very quickly on a freeway entrance ramp, put a quick halt to that on that particular day). I love everything about the car and am...
Still rocking my Raceseng slammer heavy knob. Sorry to say they're out of business now, but I have a bunch of different types and this is the one I've stuck with. Slightly upside-down-pear-shaped...
I'm getting some water intrusion somewhere as I can smell it now (started after a particularly long bout of rain). I'm watching with interest where all the drain locations are. What's a good way to clear them? Seems like varying the pressure of a jet of water would help?
If it conducts electricity - it'll work just fine. Remember those Monster Cables that were all the rage a while ago for high end stereos? Yeah, they conducted electricity just the same as the Wal-Mart cables. Either the electrons move, or they don't.
For when you retrofit active exhaust - you'll need wiring, forscan, and a tune tweak:

Wait, hold the phone. What? You're going to saddle your daughter with debt? You're going to teach her that borrowing money she doesn't have for something she can't afford is OK? That Impatience is OK? Dad, do your duty better. Please.
I imagine it would be alarming to someone who hasn't had something uncontrollable happen to them. I have only experienced this on my motorcycle, but I have gas permeable contact lenses and in NC we have this kind of pollen season where the world is covered in yellow pine pollen in March. If I...
I would imagine they're more for locating during installation than anything else. Once that tape contacts, it's game over unless you want to strip it and start again.
I had a similar situation lately where a tire shop put the wrong tires on front-to-back on my PP1 setup. A simple tape measure across the inside of the rim verified 9 vs. 9.5 inches (plus I learned the valve stem trick)...
Y'all do what you need to do. Sore knees, dense traffic, whatever. Rowing gears gives you something to do that connects you to the car. Personally, I can't imagine having an automatic in a car I care about. I peek into a window of a Mustang in a parking lot and see the auto stick and just...
Interesting that they explicitly talk about the difference between rear and front rims, a subject of a recent thread about mysterious rubbing noises up front and how to identify rims based on Schrader valve locations...
See - you can teach an old dog new tricks. Now I can't unsee it: the factory PP1 rims do the same thing. There's a straight section holding the stem in the back, and a triangular one in the front. :like:
Confirmed... left side is wrong.
Thanks to this thread I figured out what was wrong with my setup... I had a local tire shop put new shoes on my rims (I've got a PP1) and turns out the left side has rims and tires swapped. Tires are correct, but rims are wrong... and certain situations make the rim rub. Went out with a tape...
