Welcome to the herd!
Was in the UK a couple years ago and went to a WEC race at Brands Hatch. Was quite pleased to see Mustangs well represented!! The car park had a line of about a dozen S550 RHD.
We were staying with friends out in Chipping Norton, so had lots of running on secondary roads...
Yep. My local stations are all at $4.99 for 87 regular. Over $6 for 93!!
If I run 8 miles away I can knock it down to $4.77 and $5.97.
Or wait until my wife builds up enough points to get a buck a gallon off at Meijer!!
That was kind of my point. Sorry if you misunderstood my intent.
I did mention that he was the top tuner in Michigan... And that he probably has a tune already on file... Did you miss that part?
Lidio is probably the top tuner in Michigan. He has been doing it since carbs and distributors.
That said, technology has moved a loooong way in the time he has built this reputation.
Coyote with a Whipple is now a tried-and-true combination. What ever mix of parts you can reasonably concoct...
I just got a Ford Protect Premium extended warranty for my Expedition through a Ford Dealer in Granger Iowa. They beat my local dealer quotes by a LOT...
Both of our Mustangs hibernate. From the first application of road salt until a good rain washes it off in late March or April. On top of that, my wife works from home, and I retired a year ago from a job where I had company cars.
2018 PP1 manual bought last June (I am 2nd owner) with 5700 miles on it. About 11K on it now.
2019 10R delivered November of 2018. Had around 40 miles on it due to quality audits at the plant. Now around 33K.
That sucks!
Glad you're still under warranty! The easy way to do that suspend the engine and drop the subframe. Not something most DIY'ers are equipped for. Dealerships are like a box'o chocolates. You never know. Should be an active Mustang scene in the Indy area. Someone there should be able...
You're right. I stand corrected. It's not elders in years. Is it a level of maturity? Because we all know guys of ALL generations that should have better taste, and better sense. But there is TRULY no accounting for taste.
Dude, I had to laugh! I might have seen that couple. Probably at a car show!
But we digress... The anonymity of the internet makes one bold indeed. While the actions of the "ricer" crowd can make it hard to generate any respect for them, they are the modern version of "car guys". I remember...
This^^^ When I was a kid in my teens and 20's, I set some World Records for being a dumbass. Headers on old beater cars. Harleys that needed PigMats and all the bolts tightened after an hour riding time. (Pigmats and Loctite didn't exist in the Dark Ages.) And yes, this was at least in part, for...
I bought my 2018 (NOT a GT350!) long distance. First time for me! Yes, it was a little scary. My B.I.L. lives about 30 minutes away. So I had him go take a look. He noted some paint issues that didn't show up in Carfax OR in the photos. Ironically, the paint is one of the features that attracted...
OK. I get it. We all have different tastes. Sometimes really different. I was taught to "Praise in public and criticize in private."
I was at a car show. Typical shopping area parking lot on a beautiful Friday evening. Probably 100 cars. Mostly higher-end classic muscle with some newer stuff...
That's fair. While I respect that choice, IMO, if you bought a GT350 for a DD, you missed the point of this car. You could have bought a PP1 and thrown a set of tires on it. You would have saved a chunk of $$$. The S550 GT350 was intended, from the beginning, to be a track rat. You can't push...
