You know; the more that I drive the car; I find that the factory tune along with the 10 speed auto is just
fine for me. The car is an absolute blast whether in city driving or on the open highway. I have a stroked 400rwhp '95 GT for those times I want to really tear it up.
I noticed the new trend of placing Nitto stickers on junk tires. It baffles me but I'm old. Lol
I don't give a crap what tires anyone has. Haha!
Now back in the day...14-15" Cragar wheels and whatever white letter tires you could find added 20hp! :D
I'm a bit confused. Are you running Sport Drive mode with mode toggle and shift lever in Sport for best performance? Or do you leave shift lever in Drive?
Thanks.
You can buy race fuel at the pump over on Bell Rd. and 93rd. Street. It's near the Hockey Den by Westworld. Torco is local also and you can purchase Torco Accelerator. It's an excellent octane booster unlike the junk at Oreilly's.
I was playing with drag mode yesterday. I first did a run...
I drove my buddy's '15 base EB today and it was worse. He has complained about the squirrelly rear since new. His tires are the factory 17's though, so I imagine he gets more sidewall flex. Ford changed the IRS bushings and shocks for '18 also, so it isn't exactly an apples to apples comparison...
Mine really aren't too bad. They aren't RS3's by any means but I'm pleasantly surprised. I'm in AZ so I have no issues getting them warmed up. I can imagine that they would be worse in colder climates.
You're correct and I missed it. The car he is driving also has 400RWTQ. Surprisingly; the car still stays planted and predictable for the most part.
With stock power and the 10 speed auto; I cannot break the rear loose under acceleration in a turn under sane speeds. I can't goose it mid turn...
I have the lowly 3.15 gears and I don't think it helps. If I nail it mid turn; I just get more speed but no spin. Maybe it's an auto thing? My tires are 235's. I do turn off advancetrac and drive in Sport mode when playing in the twisties. Maybe I have a dud? I only have 1000 miles on the car...
With a Cobb tune no less. He can't get the rear to rotate but there's plenty of understeer. I have yet to encounter understeer so he is definitely driving harder than I was when the rear felt floaty although our cars differ slightly.

I believe you. In my situation; I don't believe that the rear tires broke loose. I just experience this floating feeling whether at high or low speed. It gets worse at speed through a turn.
I probably could have worded my response better as there seems to be some misunderstanding.
First off. I love my EB. So much so that I'm considering selling my 400 plus rwhp GT. The two cars are night and day. The EB puts a smile on my face and I want to drive it every chance I get. My GT never...
I mean no disrespect but I would have to disagree. I don't believe the tires are braking loose. I can get the rear of the car to float around at much lower speeds. I can see there being sidewall flex and movement of the cradle on compliant bushings but not sliding. Wiggle the wheel back and...
