Yeah, the pricy part is my difficulty. I only have so many orifices that I can pull money from.
One of the reasons I was even considering the Cobra Instinct was the fact that TireRack has it rated higher for winter/snow than the other three I listed. Is that inaccurate?
Oh, I'm totally on board with that idea. Notice I completely ignored anything on the cheaper end, like the Avanta or Laufenn.
There's just only so much money I can pull out of somewhere before I have to choose between feeding my kids and tires, especially with these tariffs screwing with my...
OK, short and sweet (cuz I tend to ramble).
'16 GT/CS (255/40R19) needs new tires
The BFG g-Force COMP-2 A/S PLUS that I loved on my '12 and '15 at 18" are significantly more expensive for 19", but still a choice
I'm in Bergen County New Jersey, so we have winter
I don't race, so my concern is...
I know... I'm bumpin' an oldie...
@CowboyJohn, how are the Instincts holding up for you?
I'm in need of replacing all four and the BFG Comp-2 A/S Plus that I put on my two previous cars with 18" wheels are $50 more a tire for 255/40R19. The Cobra Instincts look nice according to TireRack's...
This thread has been stuck in my head for several days now.
How does misinformation like what the OP was fed proliferate so much? He said "all the things I've read" but... Where? Who's saying these things that they burrowed into his head so much that he was afraid to drive his car?
The only thing that has killed any of my Mustangs was other cars waking up and choosing violence. The irony is that every accident I've ever been in has involved me driving like a normal human being at the speed limit or at a full stop and then having an encounter with a vehicle driven by...
I know this is old but I figured I'd ask here since it has the specific firmware revision codes in it, which don't seem to be anywhere else on the entirety of the Internet.
Has anybody had any luck doing this lately? I'm at work and not in my car with my laptop at the moment so I figured I'd...
I'm willing to bet that they use the same pony for multiple purposes depending on the car, like fender badges, but the grille needs a more robust mount, hence the black part.
It's the black part with the three posts that I can't find. The chrome pony that is available only has the two tiny posts you see poking through the black part.
I get very frustrated because I keep explaining this over and over and over every time I post anywhere about this. I'm not sure what...
The problem is that the $50 pony has two tiny pins, but the mounting bit has three larger. Epoxy on the grille would just turn into a mess.
This is what it looks like. You can see the two pins from the chrome pony poking through and then three larger pins that go through the three holes in the...
This guy gets my dilemma!
I have a 3D printer but part of the problem is pulling together a design that's structurally sound without having an example on hand to base it on but also what kind of temperatures would it put up with there? PLA will become flexible in summer heat. PETG could be used...
See, that's the thing. I have the actual grille. That was never removed from the car. It's just the tri-bar pony and the mounting part that attaches it to the grille. I want to find that and attach it to the three lonely mounting holes in my grille. I've been looking for a year and no luck.
It's kinda amazing how hard it is to find the mount for the tri-bar pony on the grille. You can buy the tri-bar pony for $50 or the whole GT/CS grille for $800 but not the mount that goes between the pony and the GT/CS grille I already have, but so many people have pulled them off their cars...
