Agreed. The people working on the Lincoln website probably aren't "car" people so they just grabbed a stock engine bay photo from the Ford image library and used it.
Because going from TT to MP1/MP2 builds takes time especially with basically a brand new platform. I don't even think the supplier base is finalized yet.

That's a big factor in going to more gears. They're trying to keep the engine at the most efficient RPM for a given speed.
Of course both chassis's will have differences due to different stresses they will be faced with but commonality is a way of driving development costs down.
And how do you know this? Do you have some sort of insider info that tells you the contrary or are you going off internet "reports"???
