I thought this might happen:) I installed a VMP Odin a few years back and at first I was not impressed. It turns out that I was just not giving it enough gas:) The tune from VMP is setup on purpose to not add much power/boost until the very upper part of the driver throttle demand to keep it...
If are putting the long block together yourself, you could put a thicker head gasket in to drop the compression. I think @engineermike has done some calculations on that.
I will be playing around with a similar setup this summer. I have a 9.5:1 gen 3 Aluminator and I am going to install a...
Another update.
I mentioned above how I was rebuilding the transmission. If you watched the video where I went to the track, you will know that somehow my 2nd gear in the transmission got noisy. I pulled it apart and this is the cause, look at the score marks on the 2nd gear teeth of the...
I appreciate the feedback, but it is a bit more complicated. They would not be able to make CV joint/stub combo.
For the next iteration, I will make the whole CV axle setup much more modular.
It made the car a bit squirrely on uneven roads. I am not convinced I need it.
As I mentioned, I will be making a MK2 version of this whole car long term with improved suspension geometry that may make it less of an issue.
The AWD Mustang Project has been sort of on the back burner the last few months while I focused on some house projects.
Goals for this season:
-Rebuild transmission, switch to close ratio gears, add oil pump
-New Clutch
-Swap back to 4.10 gears / remove front LSD
-Fix oil leak in oil pan /...
I guess I somehow missed that you are using a Mach E motor unit, I thought you were using a Tesla.
If the inner joint is a plunging 8 ball, like the Mustang unit, it can be shortened for sure. Do you have a picture of one without the boot?
As a fellow engineer this product really interests me. Thanks for the great review.
I wonder how much of your initial issue just how the tuner programmed the torque/throttle request?
I like the idea of the smooth boost to have programable max boost, something that can be done in the Gen 3...
IAT sensor is heat soaking.
Get an extra IAT sensor and do an experiment where next time it is hot, unplug the IAT sensor in the back of the supercharger intake manifold and plug in the one in free air and see what happens.
This is good info. I couldn't sleep at night after putting my new engine together wondering if I got the cam timing correct. I never got any codes, so I would assume that it was OK, but it always lingered in the back of my head, can you be off a tooth and will the cam phasers overcome that and...
Thanks for the feedback.
If I go organic, I am going to go this direction.

I called and verified that the discs have a Marcel and it will shift at 7800+ RPM. I am sure it...
