Ya, my 2019 GT PP1 with the 401A package is holding around 30K but I don't have many miles on it. Because I work remote for now. But seriously the car is faster than the DarkHorse. I did get approved to buy a GTD when they were released for orders. But I didn't have GTD money then.
I mean. Why should I buy a new car? I bought a 2015 that I need to fix up. But my 2019 GT is flawless as it can be for 7 years of age. I really wonder if its because cars are lasting so long now compared to the past?
Very much the same for me. I don't beat on the car at all. I'm very timid with it. But I haven't had any serious issues either like others have had. Occasionally I get a hung down shift out of nowhere. Like 2 times a year maybe. But nothing else so far.
I was thinking about picking up this kit from Rock Auto for the head gasket repair on my 2.3L. I was wondering if anyone has experience with this Fel-Pro head gasket?
Is there anything else I should replace while I'm tearing the engine apart? I need to get the Head Studs from ARP but I didn't...
any chance you can link the seller?
I just picked up a sweet deal on the new S550 Haynes manual. Really brings me back to build my SN95 back in the 00's.
I just had the new Haynes manual delivered I found for cheap on ebay. I'm really liking it and the online content that comes with it.
But I'll check your suggestion out for sure!
I need to do the head gasket on my 2.3l. What would be the best service to go with for the repair? I have used Haynes in the past. But is there a better online option? I've not found the Ford service manual. If anyone knows where to find that. I'll happily buy into it.
Ya, no sign of coolant in the oil. The only thing I think that is also happening. Is the water pump weep hole is leaking. So that will get replaced when everything gets tore down. But I think I'll try to just replace the head gasket and go from there. If I have to replace the motor. Hopefully...
It hasn't overheated at all yet. It only had a low coolant alert one time. When I was driving it around town to. It had no serious issues besides the misfire on cylinder 1. But I noticed the coolant system was overpressured. So I did the exhaust gas test on the coolant reservoir and bingo it...
I have never replaced a motor before. So that would be a big step for me in learning. I've fixed a few mustangs in my time. But have not done a full engine swap before. It would be a big undertaking for me.
I recently picked up a ecoboost mustang and confirmed that I have a bad head gasket with a combustion test on the coolant reservoir. What would you guys do? Try repairing the head gasket or just buying a remanufactured engine core? I bought this car as something that I can tool and learn on. I...
