  1. Any experience with the Fel-Pro kit for head gasket repair?

Bought the ARP bolt set. But still trying to figure if I want to do Fel-Pro or OEM. OEM from ford is crazy expensive.
  2. Rough idle and stalling as returned

I had both exhaust side VVT Solenoids replaced because they were sticking. I would just replace them all.
  3. Are people just not buying Mustang GTs (or cars for that matter)?

Ya, my 2019 GT PP1 with the 401A package is holding around 30K but I don't have many miles on it. Because I work remote for now. But seriously the car is faster than the DarkHorse. I did get approved to buy a GTD when they were released for orders. But I didn't have GTD money then.
  4. Are people just not buying Mustang GTs (or cars for that matter)?

I mean. Why should I buy a new car? I bought a 2015 that I need to fix up. But my 2019 GT is flawless as it can be for 7 years of age. I really wonder if its because cars are lasting so long now compared to the past?
  5. Trans oil change

Very much the same for me. I don't beat on the car at all. I'm very timid with it. But I haven't had any serious issues either like others have had. Occasionally I get a hung down shift out of nowhere. Like 2 times a year maybe. But nothing else so far.
  6. Trans oil change

I have the older A10 Transmission. So it's kind of useless with the how the CDF bushing gets ruined. But I change my fluid every 30K miles.
  7. Any experience with the Fel-Pro kit for head gasket repair?

My concern with the Monotune one is the missing pathways for coolant between the cylinders. It only has the one hole for the updated bloc design.
  8. Any experience with the Fel-Pro kit for head gasket repair?

I was thinking about picking up this kit from Rock Auto for the head gasket repair on my 2.3L. I was wondering if anyone has experience with this Fel-Pro head gasket? Is there anything else I should replace while I'm tearing the engine apart? I need to get the Head Studs from ARP but I didn't...
  9. What service manual should I use for a repair?

any chance you can link the seller? I just picked up a sweet deal on the new S550 Haynes manual. Really brings me back to build my SN95 back in the 00's.
  10. What service manual should I use for a repair?

I just had the new Haynes manual delivered I found for cheap on ebay. I'm really liking it and the online content that comes with it. But I'll check your suggestion out for sure!
  11. What service manual should I use for a repair?

I need to do the head gasket on my 2.3l. What would be the best service to go with for the repair? I have used Haynes in the past. But is there a better online option? I've not found the Ford service manual. If anyone knows where to find that. I'll happily buy into it.
  12. What would you do with a bad head gasket on your 2.3l?

Ya, no sign of coolant in the oil. The only thing I think that is also happening. Is the water pump weep hole is leaking. So that will get replaced when everything gets tore down. But I think I'll try to just replace the head gasket and go from there. If I have to replace the motor. Hopefully...
  13. What would you do with a bad head gasket on your 2.3l?

It hasn't overheated at all yet. It only had a low coolant alert one time. When I was driving it around town to. It had no serious issues besides the misfire on cylinder 1. But I noticed the coolant system was overpressured. So I did the exhaust gas test on the coolant reservoir and bingo it...
  14. What would you do with a bad head gasket on your 2.3l?

I have never replaced a motor before. So that would be a big step for me in learning. I've fixed a few mustangs in my time. But have not done a full engine swap before. It would be a big undertaking for me.
  15. What would you do with a bad head gasket on your 2.3l?

I recently picked up a ecoboost mustang and confirmed that I have a bad head gasket with a combustion test on the coolant reservoir. What would you guys do? Try repairing the head gasket or just buying a remanufactured engine core? I bought this car as something that I can tool and learn on. I...
  16. New weird engine noise at WOT

You must be hearing something, I don't, Sounds fine to me. Fixed that for you.
  17. She’s here!!

Great find on the chassis number. Very jealous.
  18. 2019 Mustang GT ticking noise — normal BBQ tick or something else?

Sounds like my motor sometimes. I don't think its a tick. More like the cam lifters sound.
  19. Any experience with Progressive or Progressive "Drive" car insurance?

I just signed the 2015 mustang I bought up for Progressive. Only 96$ for a 10 year old ecoboost a month with full coverage.
