Oh and ask him for a DORA. Thats the system generated email the system sends the dealer when Ford accepts your order. It will show the priority number there and is confirmation that the dealer did actually put in your order and isnt stalling.

It's a specific priority number just for your order. Your dealer gave you one when he inputted your order in the system, so yes he knows what it is but often they play off if you ask them :-)

The great thing about Race Red is that as good as it looks in pictures, it looks 10 times as good in person. Take my word on that if you haven't seen one. I don't think one person ever who ordered a race red sight unseen doesn't fawn over it upon delivery. Awesome color.

Fear not my friend. Flat Rock has produced hundreds of thousands of Mustangs over the past decade. My ordered 2005 GT came off that line in June of 05 :-) This is routine for them.

I say Triple Yellow. This generation of Mustang just looks good in the lighter and brighter, more colorful hues. I'm going Race Red for similar reasons, but love the yellow.

Yeah I feel you. Low end torque is the difference maker for me. A RWD V8 "feels" tangentially different to me than any other driving experience, it is in a word unique. It cant be replicated in the same way by other car types like the small roadsters, nor can the Mustang replicate those cars...

The 15 Mustang does feel big. It is a big car as far as sports cars go and yeah you feel the weight It's also gotten wider this generation, and a bit heavier so those contribute. To be completely honest Mustangs have always felt a bit big. My 05 GT felt heavy, but that car got me more enjoyment...

Oh trust me, all the immediate power you think you have, you have less than a 3 55 automatic. I have driven more GT automatics at both ratios than most people here. Think of it at 150% to your 100% as far as pedal mashing speed and fun.

Always get the 3.55 if you're getting an auto GT. The auto is a dog with the tall 3.15 ratio. There is absolutely zero reason for a Mustang with the 5.0 liter to have a 3.15 ratio. The only reason Ford does it is because of fuel economy govt nagging. It is a power sapping bad gear ratio for...
