Why is it most of the Aftermarket exhaust designs take a 90 degree bend right behind the rear tire. My stock exhaust does this and you can see were it had been rubbing until I fixed it. I like the sound of many systems but the tire clearance looks limited.
Right now I am highly contemplating...
May want to flush your brake fluid and replace it with something that has a higher boiling point. I would change your oil, stock weight is fine. You may spen a good amount of time near redline so fresh oil is a good investement. Grab an air gauge and a tire pen. Adjust your tire pressures until...
The Delrin, suprisingly, does not add that much noise to the car. Where I notice it the most is on ruff concrete or road surfaces, the tire noise seems to be picked up like a microphone through the chassis. I imagine you may be able to fix that a bit with tire and wheel choice.
Beyond that, I...
Yea it was hard explaining to my car buddies this was the first mod I spent my money on. No exhaust no cold air intake, you bought bushings, who buys bushings LOL!
In all seriousness though I worked at Roush in the early 2000s when the first Corbra IRS came out. We actually designed a new...
That is a bummer, thanks for the heads up. What is taking a dump when these go? Is it hard parts, syncros, or shafts? Not against a 6060, just have an extensive list as it is LOL.
I have been saving up for the comp orange, wheels you quoted but I am thinking the graphite wheels would probably look pretty good with GB. Can I get a PM on one of the staggered zummer special sets you have? Thanks!
I used the BMR Delrin bushings on my IRS. Then I took it to Autobahn road course in Joliet. That one single modification to my PP, made it super competitve on the track. I had a couple people tell me they did not realize the PP package was so effective LOL.
I have a 6060 in my 91 Firebird I will be selling soon. I agree it is a great shifting transmission. I have also had my new GT out on a road course very recently and did not have a complaint with the MT82 either, definetly not enough to think about swapping it out yet.
Guess I need to go for...
I would be up for the stainless headers, especially if they save weight, just pushing the price tag that is all. I will be around 10K plus for the manifolds and the oil-less turbo. I have no problem with the replacement manifold though.
I was just hoping that selling one of my cars would get...
I cannot wait to purchase one of these kits. Unfortunately gotta get the old race car sold and then fun time begins.
Sounds like your busy, so I understand if you do not have time to answer my question, but I was wondering how the system mounts up to the stock manifolds. On one side , I have...
Whats so weird? I hang around with a group of hot rodders that like to take their cars to events and do things with them and we all share if we feel like it. We have been hanging for 20 plus years. I have helped a majority of them change a motor or tune their car. We can mostly afford to fix...
This summer while I was on Power Tour. Just cause I am was a GM guy doesn't mean I swooned over the camaro, and know every new model of it. Infact I am not a huge fan of the 5th gen, and I evidently have not driven a 6th gen. I have a 64 Corvair, 77 Corvette, 91 Firebird, I have had a Denali...
Well they were all relatively new so I made an assumption it was a 2016. I just did an image search on 2015 1LE and the white and black cars, look like what I drove.
My comparison is probably non relevant as I here the 2016 is better.
They are both great cars and I have driven them both. I have heard a number of people say they think the new Camaro is a smidge better.
It makes me start thinking I am Ray Charles in the Blues Brothers. When I tested the cars back to back on the track, I was just able to make the Mustang...
The one you have listed for CJs is the same one I used. Very easy to install. Great product! I was able to use my bracket for mounting my track transponder also.
Huh I would be interested in trying that out. It is definitely less costly, and I like the shoulder strap. I am always worrying the big black tank is going to roll somewhere I dont want it to.
