  1. WE DID IT! Stock Block 1,XXX hp!

congrats, which arp stud kit did you go with?? 256-4702?
  2. Fore fuel system issue

I'm not to familar with the Fore system. Is it possible that you blew the fuel pump fuse? How are the pumps wired? In series or is there an activate switch for the 2nd pump.
  3. School me on Fuel Pump Duty Cycle

Let me do some digging and get back with you
  4. 10r80 leaking fluid on high pressure shifts

there is a 19mm hex cover on the right side ( passenger side) of the transmission by the bellhousing. once you get the cover off, there is a little white plastic stick. has an A and B on it. I believe you want to be at the B line at operating temp . ( around 200) be careful and don't burn...
  5. Erratic STFT2

never seen an AFR of 1. do you mean lambda? first off I wouldn't worry about montioring any PIDS until you address the leaking concern. you have a current mechinical issue that needs to be addressing before trying to diag the vehicle. what are you using to datalog?
  6. 10r80 leaking fluid on high pressure shifts

hard to say really. you don't really get a full picture by just seeing a few drops. I truly never go off transmission fluid color. the smell test never lies. you could also have a fluid level issue as I believe some left the factory underfilled. you could have lost some fluid pressure when...
  7. 10r80 leaking fluid on high pressure shifts

this was an issue with the Ford lightnings as well. the transmission would get so hot the that the input shaft seal would swell just enough to leak fluid out, when the trans cooled, no more leaks. it's unknown to me if the 10r80 has the same issue. 235 is pretty hot, but not completely out in...
  8. 10r80 leaking fluid on high pressure shifts

this is correct. the 10r80 runs hotter than most automatic transmissions and this is considered normal. this is the same reason that you can only run the motorcraft ULV fluid in the `10r80. it's very thin and designed to run hotter. I see 200 all the time and I have the max tow package with the...
  9. How much hp can the 5.0 handle on stock internals?

intresting point. I didn't realize there was a market for a used short block. The only thing I'm keeping is the cylinder heads. Maybe I have to reconsider and take the 2.80 pulley off the whipple.
  10. How much hp can the 5.0 handle on stock internals?

just dyno'ed last week at 892.. I'm in an F150 so the power is not going to be the same. I came to this board as there is more techinical/ race related posts than the F150 forums. figured the motor is the same, so what the hell. ( ie: I'm not trolling)
  11. How much hp can the 5.0 handle on stock internals?

because it's not worth my time at this moment. When your a shop foreman at a Mercedes-benz dealer, working on vehicles becomes more of a chore than for fun. I highly doubt there is a market for used Gen 3 parts.
  12. How much hp can the 5.0 handle on stock internals?

I just built a Gen3 short block with all brand new parts and MPR doing the machine work for 4200.00 . great times we live in. I'm pushing 900whp on my Gen3 running 20psi through my Gen 3 whipple. I know i'm on borrowed time, so I built a short block as a back up.. If I pop the engine, no...
  13. School me on Fuel Pump Duty Cycle

FLP should be your fuel pressure pid ..
  14. School me on Fuel Pump Duty Cycle

you are correct, when the BAP activates you will see the duty cycle go to 100% ( 49.9 on the gauge) I like to activate my BAP AT a 1/3 of the total boost pressure you are running. So if your running 10psi a good starting point is roughly 3-4 psi. this is the fuel system time to get ready for the...
  15. School me on Fuel Pump Duty Cycle

If your monitoring FP duty cycle via the ngauge the value is half of the total. So 49.9% is actually 100%. If your running a BAP ( I run a DW400 with a Kenne Bell BAP) and my value goes right to 49.9 once the bap kicks on. This is due to the fact that you are wiring in series to your ckt 30 wire...
